Red Alert Technologies Page
editIt is good that someone like you is acually providing this type of information. I would help you but the following users always delete these pages specifically on (Command and Conquer) User:Calton User:Proto User:Coredesat
Their reason is game crufting. So I suggest just adding the Factions for Soviets/Allies and characters on the same page. Be careful while adding units sections because these idiots delete them. (Combine the RA1 and 2 characters but not units)
Start the page and I will add. By the way nice page

Warhammer 40,000
editThanks for the edits to the 40K articles, but there are unfourtunately a few bones I feel I need to pick...
- The Black Legion - I've seen both Luna and Lunar used in reference to Horus' legion. I'm almost 100% sure that the Index Astartes article refers to them as Luna, but don't have access to the magazine to check. Codex: Chaos Space Marines gives both. Codex: Space Marines 3rd ed gives Lunar, but 4th ed gives Luna. Other bits and pieces lead me to believe that while both are accepted, Luna is preferred, and thats why I used it. I'd be willing to write the first reference to it in the article as "...the Luna Wolves (known in some sources as the Lunar Wolves)...", but think that all other references, along with those in other articles should say Luna.
- Weapons and Equipment list - I appreciate the addition of the Land Raider's armour stats to the article, but feel it is unnecessary. When it comes to articles on fiction, I feel it best to start off with something that implies that "this is a fictional article", then go through and treat everything as if it were 'fact'. Also, listing the stats for the Raider implies that we have to go and list the stats for all the other vehicles, which is only of interest to 40k gamers, and they have the Codexes. It's a little subtrivial, in my opinion, and adding similar information to all will likely clutter up the article.
I'm not going to edit anything relating to either of these points until either you contact me back or a week passes. I would rather have your support on the matter than not. Either leave your view here, or drop me a line on my own talk page.
Thanks from Saberwyn 09:52, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for contacting me first before making any changes.
- Luna(r) Wolves: I've seen "Lunar" on a vast majority of occasions, so much that I'm used to take "Luna" as a typo. But I'm speaking mainly about community boards, so if official sources mention both names, you may of course name them both in any order you like.
- Land Raider stats: It's my personal approach, I like to see some bits of factual information attributed to fiction articles. Makes the fiction more consistent in my eyes, and also gives "outsiders" a hint about how things we talk about fictiously work in the actual game. But I guess it stands out as the only numerical thing in the whole article, so if you edit it by removing the numbers to something like "In the tabletop game, it has the maximum armor value on all sides, thus making it the second-thoughest vehicle in the game after the Necron Monolith." or remove it completely, I won't object.
Thanks & take care.. Xasf 15:00, 20 November 2005 (GMT+2)
Spaceships of EVE Online
editI saw you've added the RMR ship chart to the Spaceships of EVE Online article as a side image. Do you play EVE Online? If so, what's your character's name? =) Dark Shikari 15:09, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hi! I've been playing EVE Online for well over 2 years now, but I "come and go" so to say. I play for several months, then suspend my account for a couple of them and when the craving sets back in, I reactivate :) My character name is also Xasf, but I'm in one of my dormant periods right now. I think I'll be back by the time the factional warfare settles in :) Take care --Xasf 07:54, 14 July 2006 (GMT+3)

editAh, yes, I blocked that pest last night [1] but it looks like he continued to rant on his talk page. I find that vandals are more likely to leave us alone if you let them "get the last word". It's a funny rant, all non-sequiturs and illogic, with only one true statement I can find (that we theoretically can block any and all IP addresses) -- in fact it reads like the Chewbacca defense. Let me know if he comes back with another name or bothers you any more. Antandrus (talk) 15:48, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Shock and awe
editA request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Shock and awe, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. KWH 09:39, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application
editDear Xasf,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen 08:32, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Technology of the Allies (Red Alert series) has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this information might be based on your own conclusions or research, rather than published ideas. Please review Wikipedia:No original research for the relevant policy. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so, citing sources.
If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. editHey, what's up.. It is not a good idea to dwelve too much into details in Turkey, it is supposed to be an overview. It is in FAC at the moment, and should become FA soon. As for the religion figures.. That paragraph is sourced, and that's why it says "nominally" to cover why the figure is as such. It is referenced from UN figures at the end of the paragraph. If you have any other questions just leave me a post at my talk page, I will be happy to help. I rewrote the article during the course of the last month, and was very careful with every word choice and references used. Cheers! Baristarim 21:27, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- No worries, that's what I had thought :) In such cases it might be better to simply revert such additions. There are many editors who are watching that article ever since it reached a good standard. So if you also ever see such edits, just revert it, it will simply be easier. cheers Baristarim 23:38, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

editJust wanted to let you know that your use of this image in a userbox on your user page may constitute a copyright violation. As far as I can tell, the use of the image is not considered 'fair use' under the terms given in the copyright status box on that page. You might want to look into that. --Awesome 08:34, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. Thulium 19:55, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello, Xasf. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Fallout.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Xasf. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 02:57, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Weapons, equipment, and vehicles of the Necrons
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Weapons, equipment, and vehicles of the Necrons, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. Haemo 22:44, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:RA Gap Gen 2.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:RA Gap Gen 2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:31, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Tombship.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:Tombship.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 09:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Warhammer 40K Project updated
edit- Assessment tags have been added to the project banner.
- New material, including transwiki instructions and an organizational chart, has been added to the main project page.
- Please help us get the Warhammer 40K project back on track!

Project activity
editThis message is a test to check to see if members of the Warhammer 40K Project are still online, active and interested in helping the project. If you are no longer interested in the project all you need to do is...nothing! If you don't respond to this I'll take your name off the list and you'll never here from us again. If you're the proactive type you can remove the name yourself or talk to me and I'll do it.
If you are still interested in helping out the 40K project or otherwise still want to be listed there you can say so in response to this message on your talk page or on mine. Alternately you can add our new userbox ({{User WikiProject Warhammer 40,000}}) to your userpage and I'll take that as a response. The userpage doesn't automatically include people in a category of members yet, but it might in the future.
We've assessed most of the articles in the project on the Version 1.0 assessment scale (the table on the project page should take a few days to update) but we need to push to get the core articles in the project up to GA status. Thanks for all your help. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help the project along. Protonk (talk) 21:08, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
