editYes, these edit conflicts happen often with RC patrollers. You must race to them and beat others to it. With bots running around, things are harder for those who want fame and those who want to protect the encyclopedia. Marlith T/C 01:27, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Monobook code help
edit{{helpme}} I'm having trouble with this code, it won't enforce a Wikibreak. Anyway to make it work? Thanks! Yamakiri 20:21, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
/* <pre> */ //Please adjust the following variables according to when you want to end your break: var year = 2007; //YYYY var month = 02; //MM var day = 25; //DD var hour = 20; //HH var minute = 52; //MM var second = 30; //SS function EnforceWikiBreak() { var currentdate = new Date(); var enforced_break_end = new Date(year,changemonth(),day,hour,minute,second); if (currentdate > enforced_break_end) { // alert ("Welcome back from your enforced wikibreak!"); } else { alert ("Enforced wikibreak until " + enforced_break_end.toLocaleString() + " (currently " + currentdate.toLocaleString() + "). Bye!"); window.location.href = ("http://"+document.location.host+"/w/index.php?title=Special:Userlogout&returnto=Main_Page"); } } function changemonth() { //thing to subtract 1 from the month. you can't use month-1 because it removes the '0' from the front if(month==01) return 00; if(month==02) return 01; if(month==03) return 02; if(month==04) return 03; if(month==05) return 04; if(month==06) return 05; if(month==07) return 06; if(month==08) return 07; if(month==09) return 08; if(month==10) return 09; if(month==11) return 10; if(month==12) return 11; return 00; } addOnloadHook(function() { EnforceWikiBreak(); }); /*
*/
The date you've set in your monobook file has already passed. You need to adjust it until it's after the current date and time. Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:33, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

There
editI have left all the warnings in my talk page, but have removed other non-vandalism warnings. I have left ur warnings there for further reference. Thank you for your cooperation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Modelun88 (talk • contribs) 00:17, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
As commented at WP talk:AIV, yes, the editor can remove warnings, tags, etc. from their user talkpage but it is then assumed that they have read them. I shall remove the report at AIV, but if there are any further violations of policy in article or other user space report them again. LessHeard vanU 00:53, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Archiving my warnings would also work for me, but i dont know how to do that, i will look for help though. Thanks for the quick response LessHeardvanU.Modelun88 01:00, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you Yamakiri for helping me out in archiving my Vandalism warnings.Modelun88 01:05, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Yamakiri - thanks for your help in this matter. Remember, it is best to stay WP:Cool when dealing with other editors, and to assume good faith. If things still don't work out... LessHeard vanU 01:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes - I suspect you were genuinely trying to help, but do not harass or threaten other users (please see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines#Behavior that is unacceptable). If you want to report a user you think is violating policy, a quick post at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents is all that's necessary. -- Rick Block (talk) 01:17, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.Corvus cornix 16:33, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- It wasn't a level three, it's just uw-attack, which is a single level. And it doesn't matter if it's in an article or not, WP:NPA applies. Corvus cornix 20:33, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- WP:NPA is a policy. Personal attacks are not done, period. You wrote a personal attack. I removed it. Discuss the person's actions, not the peson. If you believe Ryulong is abusing his position, take it to WP:RFC, otherwise, drop it. Corvus cornix 20:44, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry if my comments came across as harsh, it's a standard tag, and I generally use those, because there are many admins around here who will not do anything if a series of escalating tags isn't used. I'm not saying that I expect this to escalate, but if, for example, someone were repeatedly being uncivil, if I didn't use the standard escalating tags, and then had to go to WP:AIV to let admins know that that person was being disruptive, there are admins who would say, "You didn't use the standard tags, so you have to start over at square one with the standard tags before we'll do anything about this person." So it's just become my M. O. to always use the standard tags, so I don't have to go through eight rounds of escalating warnings before something gets done. I do apologize, but I hope that at least this will cause you to reconsider before you comment harshly like that again. No hard feelings? Corvus cornix 21:09, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
My RfA
editThanks for supporting my recent successful RfA. Your rooting worked! I have been easing into my adminship with a couple of blocks and deletions. Let me know if I can help you out with anything.
