If I understand correctly, this image is your work. I would like to recreate\convert it to SVG format (from current PNG). Do you have the source file which from it was exported to PNG. I can easily convert it to vector image so it will look fabulous. Yar2 (talk) 23:21, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Actually, that image has some historical value. It belongs to John Coster-Mullen, and its appearance on Wikipedia was worthy of a full-length article in the New Yorker. (See External Links for the Little Boy article). All I did was add the color.

However, if you know how to make SVG images, I would love to get some help in doing it myself. I also have a number of PNG images I have drawn that could be converted into SVG.

Actually, these images are fine for their purpose, but some people always want them to be in SVG format. Do you have any thoughts on this matter? HowardMorland (talk) 00:57, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

As I understand, the wikipedia policy is.. to place & use SVG format as much as possible, and that because it's a vector format which maintains quality and sharpness when visually resized and also has low file weight/size. it's a good practice when implemented on drawings & diagrams.
SVGs are made by using a graphic vector software as Adobe Illustrator (which I use) or Inkscape (there are many other similar applications). you can't take any picture and make it SVG. to make an SVG file/image, you must draw it on a 'graphic vector software' from the start. regardig Little_Boy_Internal_Components.png , the original vectoric drawing of the bomb is needed (the scan will not do), then you must retype the text, and then save the work to SVG format/file. Converting Aircraft Manufacturer Logos to SVG Format

I made a request to create/convert a number of aircraft manufacturer logos to SVG format and since I saw that you had done so for the Grumman and Hughes Helicopter logos, I was wondering if you might be interested in helping out. –Noha307 (talk) 20:46, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
