Fail2ban
editI've restored Fail2ban upon your request. However, another editor has nominated it for deletion. You may want to join the discussion ate Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fail2ban --Tikiwont 09:25, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
The article Scientific writing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The page is a how-to guide on writing, something that Wikipedia is not. It is largely unsourced, with a single item listed in References, and one other alluded to but not directly cited. The acceptability of the advice (I wouldn't call it accuracy, exactly, being normative) is disputed on the talk page. Finally, it was apparently transwikied, or at least proposed for Wikiversity, last October.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Cnilep (talk) 18:12, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

The page Draft:CMIXF-12 has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from http://people.csail.mit.edu/jaffer/MIXF/CMIXF-12. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. — Diannaa (talk) 13:48, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
