Speedy deletion of GumX

edit

A tag has been placed on GumX requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Lee Jong-Chan

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lee Jong-Chan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. 98.74.156.204 (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Z4617925! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Request

edit

Hi there Z, VASCO here,

Like you did (twice) in Ricardo Esteves, please stop making boxes bigger without need, reverting the word "WINGBACK". It means player can appear as a DEFENDER and a MIDFIELDER (why i also took the care to write in introduction). Please respect other people's work and leave it be.

Have a nice week, from Portugal,

VASCO - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:39, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • I see what you mean, maybe it was my mistake. But then, that is what INTRO is for (like in Esteves' case), explaining player can appear in multiple positions - and i guarantee you he has never been a winger, maybe at FC Seoul he is, but never before.

My approach is that we have to keep infoboxes as simple as possible, "elaborating" in other fields.

Continue the good work, VASCO - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:24, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Lee Sang-Woo

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lee Sang-Woo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Sir Sputnik (talk) 17:56, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Park Sung-Jin

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Park Sung-Jin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Triplestop (talk) 07:00, 19 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Invite to the African Destubathon

edit

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Korean players stats

edit

Just a note, when updating stats you should remove appearances in the post-season games like K League Challenge promotion-relegation games, for example Joo Min-kyu has 68 apperances for E-Land not 69 because Suwon FC vs E-Land 3–3 promotion playoff game should not be counted, only regular league games should appear in the infobox 86.58.36.145 (talk) 11:48, 15 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
