Ukraine reactions map
editHey, I left you a message at the picture's talk page in the commons. I think we might need to rework the image in some ways for it to reflect the international situation better...--Yalens (talk) 21:08, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response! I think we can move the discussion to the picture's talk page--Zhitelew (talk) 21:46, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- Can someone please update India's reaction on the map? Thanks Batram (talk) 06:48, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- If you know how, could you get the color codes for the new colors (I had to change the colors so color-blind people could see the map properly) so that we can have a color-coded key rather than one that is explained in words? Thanks a lot, --Yalens (talk) 19:52, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
- Here are the codes: #1b6565 (like US), #289797 (like Ireland), #57d2d2 (like Turkey), #efef8f (like Kazakhstan), #f1b8f1 (like India), #d93cd9 (like Syria)
- You can get the color codes with GIMP:
- 1. open the map in GIMP
- 2. use the pipette tool to get the color
- 3. click on the colored square
- 4. the code is in the "html-notation" field.
- It's for sure not the simplest method, but it's the only one i know. --Zhitelew (talk) 22:38, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks a ton :). --Yalens (talk) 05:27, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello. I added Sri Lanka's reaction to the article which should qualify as either "Recognition of Russian and other interests" or "Support for Russian actions and/or condemnation of the Ukrainian interim government" for the map. Could we rework the image to reflect this? I don't know how. Stephen J Sharpe (talk) 03:12, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information, I'll do it.--Zhitelew (talk) 11:56, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

hey, 1st, this map is awesome! 2nd, IDK how wikipedia handles maps, but do you guys have any sort of spreadsheet where people can update countries’ reactions and (semi-) automatically change the color, or does it all have to be done on a case-by-case basis then re-uploaded by the image designer? I’m looking at starting a more extensive project analyzing predictors of country responses, and if so I might be able to update a number of countries over the course of my research. By the same token, if you had the current data available in an exportable/sharable form that would make my life… :) Thanks for your help/thoughts Durgawik (talk) 20:46, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi! Unfortunately, maps in Wikipedia are still made by hand, in image editors. There is no data in exportable form. --Zhitelew (talk) 09:59, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
hey, I have some updated news on countries position on Crimea. Add Angola,Burundi,Cambodia,Comoros,Eritrea,South Sudan,Uganda to the pink countries because they voted against this new crimea resolution and make china, philippines,Uzbekistan Serbia,Iran the yellowish color because they two vote against it but have had previous statements that wouldn't make them purple[1] Sri Lanka should be red because they were red on the first map, and they haven't released a new statement -anonymous User 5:30, 8 September 2017 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8807:A2C8:D600:80A8:451E:38CC:A771 (talk)

A page you started (Košice-Vienna broad gauge line) has been reviewed!
editThanks for creating Košice-Vienna broad gauge line, Zhitelew!
Wikipedia editor Lstanley1979 just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Amazing article. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure the references are citations per WP:Referencing for beginners rather than bare URLs, but this is otherwise awesome work.

Serbian position regarding Ukraine
editHi. I would kindly ask you to update your map (File:Crimea reaction clean.svg) with Serbian position regarding Ukrainian territorial integrity, in line with the official Government statement [2]. I would suggest moving it to category "support for Ukrainian territorial integrity". Appreciate it.NeroN BG

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Youth Time
editDear Zhitelew,
I see you made a translation for Youth Time page. Unfortunately, many contributes have been abusing the content of the page, to the extend that now it contains one irrelevant paragraph. I would like to ask you, as a creator of the article, to delete the page. At this point having no page is better than having one misleading paragraph. Please, dont hesitate to write to me if you have further questions. I would be happy to discuss the issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Programsyt (talk • contribs) 13:15, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Swiss government reaction to the annexation of Crimea
editHi, the Swiss Federal council stated "that the annexation of Crimea by Russia is contrary to international law, in particular the principle of territorial integrity." You might want to update the map with this in mind and add the reference: https://www.news.admin.ch/message/index.html?lang=en&msg-id=54069 Have a nice day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.7.224.244 (talk) 13:41, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
