Explain yourself, please. I have reason to suspect that you're someone from porthuron.org. Am I right? Whether you are or not, why does my site bother you so much???? You cite the fact that it's "commercial".... so, um, you think I'm making a bunch of money on the site and this bothers you? First, I don't make jack. You think Google ads and affiliate programs are really profitable on a site like mine? They're not! Like I told you before, I put more money into the site than I get back from it. But let's say I was making a little money... what difference would it make? Do you have any idea how much time and effort I've expended creating and maintaining the site? It's not even about money for me. I'd continue the site as long as I was able to, even if I never made a lousy dollar, as long as the community was benefiting from it... which right now, with not many people knowing about it and hardly any active members, it's a lot of wasted resources... But it's staying put for at least another year since I just renewed the domain name and got a new web host.
If I was really concerned with making a profit, I'd have shut the site down long ago. What I really want to make is an impact, and if I can't begin to see that happening within the next year, I probably will shut it down, and you can throw a party. In the meantime, would you let the link be? Mphmi (talk) 02:06, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
I just saw this:
"No. Wikipedia is not a place for you to post advertisements about your company or your product. Our policy on neutral point of view makes this impossible and any such edits will be removed."
?? So you're claiming to be the owner or a staff member of Wikipedia now? "neutral point of view" has nothing to do with external links. I've read the Policies and Guidelines and my link doesn't break any of them.
By the way, the very first time my link was added to Wikipedia, it wasn't even me who added it, and I had no idea about it until I just happened upon the page one day. Mphmi (talk) 02:40, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm not going to argue with you about it.
because u know you're wrong & being absolutely asinine, but have it your way, zyggy. congrats, i can't imagine how proud you must be of yourself for relieving the page's visitors of one more link they'd have to decide whether to click or not on a page full of links.Mphmi (talk) 14:51, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
