April 2018

edit

Hello, I'm SkyGazer 512. I noticed that in this edit to Florida gubernatorial election, 2018, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 00:04, 23 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, that was completely my fault, and you did explain the content removal clearly in your edit summary. Thank you for letting me know about this on my talk page.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 02:16, 23 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

2018 US Senate race in Florida

edit

Why do you keep insisting that Rick Scott has been elected to the US Senate? You're not even making even edits, as you haven't 'updated' the United States Senate election in Florida, 2018, Rick Scott or Bill Nelson articles. GoodDay (talk) 15:13, 18 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

November 2018

edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Rick Scott, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Official election results are scheduled to be certified at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Please do not change this until then, or until multiple sources declare him the winner. Also, cite your sources please. - MrX 🖋 17:56, 18 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Florida Governors

edit

See @Corkythehornetfan: & @Golbez: about your concerns on who Governor Scott's successor will be. GoodDay (talk) 06:36, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

PS: You're forgetting the Ron DeSantis article & his predecessor. GoodDay (talk) 06:48, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

PPS: If possible, try & include Lopez-Cantera in the List of Governors of Florida article. I tried, but found it too difficult. GoodDay (talk) 06:51, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

The fundamental issue here is that there is zero sourcing for the fact that Scott will resign early, let alone zero sourcing on when he will resign. He probably will, he almost certainly will, but that's not enough for us to say it. --Golbez (talk) 14:41, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Gov. M. Jodi Rell.jpeg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Gov. M. Jodi Rell.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Desantis's photo

edit

There was a discussion about whether your photo of DeSesantis was appropriate to be used on his page and we decided this photo

DeSantis, February 7, 2019

is better than the one you uploaded. If you have issues you wish to raise regarding your photo please refer to the discussion named 'Desantis's photo' on Ron Desantis's talk page. In the meantime, the photo will be reverted to the one I just pasted here per the discussion made in the talk page. --Daffy123 (talk) 09:57, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading free images/media to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view your previous uploads). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading! --Walk Like an Egyptian (talk) 00:59, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
