Since January 2014, Wikimedia Canada and BAnQ are working together to offer to BAnQ users several activities related to Wikimedia projects.
These projects aim to highlight funds and collections BAnQ to make available to the Wikimedians digitized resources of the institution and to contribute to the enrichment of Wikipedia articles (and its sister projects) regarding Quebec, French Canada and, more broadly, the French America.

Poirier Project
In the summer of 2014, the BAnQ Vieux-Montréal team began to upload in the free media directory Wikimedia Commons, several hundred images of Montreal and its surroundings.
Wiki Tuesday à BAnQ
Since February 2014, Wikimedia and BAnQ organize free workshops to train interested people in the process of editing the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. The first Tuesday of each month experienced Wikipedians are on hand to guide participants.
