Original – Inaugural flight of Soyuz at the Guiana Space Centre with two Galileo navigation system satellites.

Reason: File from German Aerospace Center, high resolution, one of a rare shots showing a launch of Arianespace Soyuz, with some great features and composition. It's a historically significant photograph, showing the first launch of Soyuz outside of the former Soviet Union territory. And finally: We have a huge deficit of non-US featured pictures in Space categories - if passed, that would be the first featured picture from Europe's spaceport.
