- Reason
- A self portrait of Vincent van Gogh, a quality and fine pic. Seems like he had a passion for self portraits. There are over 35 of them. May be someone with body dysmorphic disorder.

- Support as nominator – The Herald 11:12, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support- as per nominator, I see great quality here! WordSeventeen (talk) 11:51, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Comment — Why is the "detail" from a different painting than the nominated painting? Sca (talk) 14:54, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oops!! Me thought it was with a bit lower quality version. He have so many of them..--The Herald 15:05, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support — Yeah, old Vincent painted a lotta pix of himself, many with that haunted look.
- Support — I don't think it is body dysmorphic disorder. It is probably the cheapness of solution for an artist who never had enough money... Models cost money. For this, he need only a mirror... Hafspajen (talk) 15:52, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose - problem with stability in article They keep changing the lead image of the Vincent van Gogh article; if we don't get consensus for them to stop doing that, we could end up with this unused outside of a gallery in Portraits of Vincent van Gogh. If there's finally consensus to stick with one portrait, link to that discussion and we're fine. Adam Cuerden (talk) 16:24, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Understand the problem, but I like this one particularly because of the 'cool' colors. Sca (talk) 17:29, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- It's a great painting, it's only the usage requirement that's stopping me voting otherwise. =) Adam Cuerden (talk) 05:30, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- Well, now that's a bad thing. But may be that will be stopped if this is a FP (like Burj Khalifa)..--The Herald 11:03, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think the people at the article care. I think we should get consensus first to keep it in the article lead, then nom, because I suspect, if we don't, FP or no it won't be used outside of galleries soon enough. Adam Cuerden (talk) 12:40, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
Opposeper Adam. Regardless of the merits of the painting or reproduction, this can't be promoted with a stability problem. J Milburn (talk) 03:34, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- Perhaps wait & see how long it lasts at the top of the article's info box — then if it's still there after some months, renominate? Sca (talk) 14:40, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose as above. Image use in prominent articles is best decided on the articles, not on FPC. TownCows (talk) 13:17, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

- @The Herald: Today is 15 December. Should I un-suspend the nomination? Armbrust The Homunculus 15:10, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
- @Armbrust: Yep, go ahead. But which day will be the closing date?? 13 days from today or 22nd (10 days, as we had three days of voting from 12-14 Nov earlier) --The Herald : here I am 16:23, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
- I see, you already unsuspended it. Modified the expiry date, as this was suspended just after 2 days in its first voting period. This will end 8 days, after your WP:FPC edit. Regards, Armbrust The Homunculus 13:44, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
