@FOX 52: Brilliant job, thank you so much! Although is there any chance you could perhaps change the file's title to "Proposed flag of Minnesota (1957)"? It's just that the label of "North Star Flag" is more commonly associated with the very popular proposed Minnesotan flag designed by William Becker and Lee Herold in 1989 (both on Wikipedia and indeed everywhere else), hence it may create a bit of confusion for this file to have a similar title. Radiative Cooling Diagram

Hello, apologies if this isn't the right place. I'm looking to get a Sankey diagram to help explain the concept of radiative cooling. Especially for how yakhchāls used them, but more importantly, even the scientific article of radiative cooling doesn't have a visual of the concept. I found a non-free image that I think would be a good diagram to use, and was wondering if something similar could be made. The non-free image shows that there is an energy budget balance in play, and that there is therefore a net energy out of the pools which allow ice to form. This is what I would like to have as a diagram to follow along with the text in the article to help explain the concept. It should have the following arrows:

Input energy arrows:

Conduction from the ground
Thermal radiation reflected back

Output energy arrows:

Water evaporated
Thermal radiation emitted

From what I've read this could be in or out:

Convection from the air

In the Sankey diagram, the width of the thermal radiation out should be the largest to help explain the radiative cooling process. An idea of the widths can be gathered by the non-free diagram linked above. Another thought is that I think it would be nice to be in same style as the current image used to describe the evaporative cooling process in these ancient structures, that way the colors and themes in the article are kept consistent. Per the discussion located here. It would appear that our present version of the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom for use in Scotland may be inaccurate, and that the heraldic version of the Crown of Scotland is used in all four places (the head of both supporters, on the helmet, and on the crest). There are several images for reference in that discussion, but this one [1] is probably the best. Dimensions of elements on the Flag of Buffalo

I was wondering if someone could vectorize Henrietta Maria of France, Victoria, Princess Royal and Frederick III, German Emperor's signatures, the files for which already exist. I also noticed that Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz is the only British royal consort whose signature is not available on the commons. Her signature can be seen here along with samples from the Royal Family's website and the Royal Collection Trust which I think confirm its authenticity. Please make new file consisting of combining 2 existing flags in a similar way to file 1. Combine 2 and 3 where 2 is higher and both flags are the same length but the height is proportional. Upload the new file with a name "Common house flag of the Cunard-White Star Line". Shades of red should also be uniform, it doesn't matter which file is used as the basis. The reason for this request is that for several years there was a company that had capital capital of 2 previously independent shipowners and used both flags always in the same way. Well, if you made it using the above shell template, then I'd recommend uploading it under the "Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license" (which is the license given to most other SVG Cornish burgees that already exist on Wikimedia Commons), as long as there's an acknowledgment of the shell template in the "Summary" section of the new file. @QuickQuokka: Sorry about that. Well, I can't pretend to be an expert on CR. However, given my past experiences with these requests; As long as the new file is an adequate representation of the burgee without being an exact copy of it (which I'm sure would definitely be illegal here, hence why I provided a different shell template to use, as it's not even close to being identical to the shell from the first link), then I'd still recommend using the same license as most of the other Cornish burgees on WC (one example provided here, which also deliberately isn't a complete mirror image of the real-life burgee here.). Request: Can someone please create an SVG file of John Karp's proposed flag for Nevada from 2001 (which won flag redesign contests in both the Utne Reader and the Nevada Magazine), as seen here. And, even though the colours of that version seem accurate, I would recommend basing the size dimensions of the new file on the diagram seen in Issue #171 of NAVA News. If you go on this page here, scroll down to the "2001" section, and then click on the PDF link titled "vol. 34 no. 3 (July-Sept. 2001)", and then scroll down to Page 14, you can see the diagram in question. North Carolina General Assembly Seals

Request: Sorry for the double request here. Both the North Carolina Senate and House of Representatives have seals, but finding usable images has been quite hard to find. I did find these two images (1) (2) online but they are from a wood shop and have a wood texture to them. They are the actual seals per these two sources (1) (2). But, since they are both webp files, I was wondering if the texture could be changed to black and white? I think the HOR seal could be public domain since its a derivative of the state seal but I don't know about the Senate seal. If these two images can't be edited due to copyright and/or technology reasons, please ignore this request. Typographical SVG errors

These graphics contain several small errors, either in preview (as shown in the file description page), in the full SVG or in the rendered PNG:

C₂₆H Fog → C₂H₆ Fog
HO/NH₂₃ → H₂O/NH₃ (2 occurrences)
CH4–N_{2 clouds} → CH₄–N₂ clouds

@Leyo Am I understanding correctly that, for example, "C₂H₆ Fog" is correct and "C₂₆H Fog" is incorrect? If so, the files you posted all look correct to me, I don't see any of the incorrect versions on them. It's possible that your browser is rendering the text on these SVGs wrong for some reason, what browser/OS do you use? @Dragon401k and RCraig09: Did you check the file description pages (File:Titan atmosphere detail.svg/File:Titan atmosphere detail de.svg)? The first two errors exist in all browsers I tested, i.e. seems to be browser-independent.

The same errors occur in rendered PNG versions, e.g. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/41/Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg/2000px-Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg.png.

The third error occurs in the full SVG view (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/41/Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg) in Firefox, but not in MS Edge.

In addition, the typographically correct way to write the molecular formula of e.g. ethane is with subscript numbers (C₂H₆), not with small numbers (C2H6). That could also be improved in the graphics, if possible. --Leyo 08:25, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For me (Chrome for Mac), the big renderings (at the top of the file description pages File:Titan atmosphere detail.svg and File:Titan atmosphere detail de.svg) are correct. But the "Other resolutions:" examples are not even consistent with each other! Some are correct; some are wrong. It's a mystery to me. Sorry. —RCraig09 (talk) 16:25, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
