Citation Bot Removing Citations?

Could someone have a look at the edit history of the article I created this afternoon on James Hales? I added some citations, and a citation book deleted them, or so it appears [1]. NinaGreen (talk) 01:04, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

The citation bot also appears to have deleted a section of text, i.e. Margaret Hales' relationship to the poet Barnaby Googe. See [2]. NinaGreen (talk) 01:13, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

It looks like the bot made a mistake. You should probably reverse them and tell the bot's programmer about it so he can fix it. Kayau (talk · contribs) 01:19, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

High Dataspace Server Lag

Copyright violation

Last year, the article Seep (card game) was flagged as a copyright violation of pagat.com, and then deleted. Two days ago it was recreated, and today the text from that page was copied into it again. So I tried to follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Copyright_violations#Dealing_with_copyright_violations, and added a tag to it. But the text generated by my tag reads oddly: "This http://www.pagat.com/fishing/seep.html may have been copied and pasted ...". Did I do the tag wrong? Maproom (talk) 11:19, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Nowrap prevents formulas from being shown

In the article regular prime, in the sections Kummer's criterion, Irregular pairs and History there are mathematical formulas inside a {{nowrap| }}. It seems that this prevents the formulas from being shown correctly, because all I see in place of the formulas is {{{1}}}. I guess that it has to do with the {{nowrap}} template. What exactly is the problem here? If it has indeed to do with the nowrap template, then why does the template prevent the correct display of the formulas? -- Toshio Yamaguchi 13:18, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

This organization has been deleted by someone unknown by us. We can be found at www.thechurchofgodofnc.com

We do not know who wrote the article initially but its content was correct and we would like to get it back.

In case the terms in that discussion are a little cryptic for you, the point is that the sole criterion for whether Wikipedia should have an article on a subject is if the subject is what we call notable; which means, roughly, that reliable sources, independent of the subject have written about the subject. Whether the subject wants or approves the article has very little weight. --ColinFine (talk) 22:08, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Cite book (bug)

Where does one report a bug in the Cite » book toolbar/template?
Its an annoying little bug, and I'm surprised it hasn't been noticed (or has it?). When using 'Cite' from the edit toolbar, and selecting 'Book' template, and then using the ISBN autofill feature, what happens is:

Autofill adds "ed." to the edition field (e.g.: "2nd ed.") — then, the {{cite}} template also adds "ed." — and what you end up with is (for example) "2nd ed. ed.", which must be manually corrected. Wikipedia:RefToolbar uses a lookup tool for ISBN. If the database fields include ed., then it will be included. Not much anyone can do on this. --— Gadget850 (Ed) ^talk 21:16, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

About a complication of Laparoscopic surgery

I operated a patient for calculous cholecystitis and did lap chole. About a month after the operation, patient reported with Jaundice. I suspected something wrong and referred the patient to higher centre for further management. Patient went to Kolkata and there she was operated and hepatico-jejunostomy was done for CHD stricture.Patient is alright now.I want to know,

1. Whether the injury to extrahepatic biliary system is an acknowledged complication or not?
2. Is it an accidental complication or deliberate injury made by the surgeon to the patient.?

Help uploading image

Is there anyone who would be willing to help me upload an image? I want to add the image that I found on this webpage [3] to the Animation section of the article Hoodwinked! to provide an example of the film's visual inspiration. I think that the image would be considered fair use, but I have never understood how to fill out the necessary form. Could anyone help me? --Jpcase (talk) 16:57, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

It seems to me that "fair use" might be a hard sell. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer isn't mentioned in the article, and stop motion is only briefly discussed, and the article is a FA.

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer isn't mentioned by name, but Rankin-Bass (the company that created the film) is. I think that it could be a great addition to the article to show Rankin-Bass' visual style, since Hoodwinked!'s director named it specifically as being a significant inspiration on the film's design. --Jpcase (talk) 18:12, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for providing that link. I'm not sure how much it helps though. It mostly just gives a general idea of what the questions are looking for, which I already kind of knew. My problem is that I have no idea what to specifically write to answer the questions. List of college football coaches with a .750 winning percentage

I'm a Oklahoma Sooner football fan, and was just curious about the success that our current coach,Bob Stoops is having. I noticed that it shows that he has no titles/ national championships. Actually, I am confused. The article about Bob Stoops mentions not just once, but twice the Orange Bowl win in 2000, and the national championship the Sooners were awarded as a result. That information has been in the article for years. --Jayron32 19:07, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

The problem seems to be that {{Geographic Location}} won't play nice with the Infobox. Don't see any solution besides moving the 'Geography' section below the Infobox (or tinker with the template). ~E:74.60.29.141 (talk) 21:15, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

That's probably the best you can do. I noticed that it's possible to nest the Location template inside the Infobox - but that looks odd as well (makes the Infobox wider). Btw, while I was at it, I included a footnote re: Wilbur Cahoon House. Movie the Hunger Game

I started to watch the movie the Hunger Game. Have we lost all contact with reality? With children killing children in massacure style In schools all around our nation how can the movie industry make such a movie as this. As soon as I realized what I was watching I imeaditaly turned it off. Have you tried Wikipedia's Reference Desk? They specialize in knowledge questions and will try to answer just about any question in the universe (except how to use Wikipedia, since that is what this Help Desk is for).
