edit[SOLVED] IPs and one-edit accounts repeatedly spamming a name into an article
editHi, I'm not sure where to report this but on the article Noor Mang (which somehow I have on my watchlist since I landed on it clicking "Random article" a year ago and saw that it needed citations), since 25 November 2017 four different IP accounts and a single-edit account have been spamming the name "Faraz Awan Khanal" into the article, mostly as "Written by", and sometimes also adding his Facebook link. Can something be done to stop this? Thank you. GreyGoose (talk) 02:17, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

problems with site
editLogged in or not, the article won't print. WHY? The program shuts down every time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.80.31.253 (talk) 14:33, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- Have you shod it off and on again? Wakari07 (talk) 17:15, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- Your problem is most likely with the software on your computer and not with Wikipedia itself. We have a different help page for computer-related issues, and the volunteers over there will be better able to help you. They can give you better assistance if you tell then which OS (e.g., which version of Windows) and which Web browser (name and version) you are using. You can find them at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Computing. Good luck. -Arch dude (talk) 17:24, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
Permission to edit Human article

I had requested for permission to remove image of man and woman (live models) in the talk page of Human. (Biology portion) But I got replies that articles on Wikipedia are not censored. It really bothers me to think that children and youngsters may get spoilt from viewing such content. Human is a common topic and all can have access to it. Now that mobile phone use are on the rise I feel that such content is unnecessary. Drawings or removal of the such a picture would be better for all the youngsters and children. I really feel that Wikipedia must remove such pictures as many can have access of them. I don't like censoring articles as it would reduce the possibility of spread of knowledge. But if they are not censored and don't contain such images many people can access and the fear of parents that their children would get spoiled would be absent. I request this because wikipedia is a wonderful source of knowledge and I don't want people to back from the gaining knowledge because of improper images.

- I don't understand. Are you saying the pictures of the people aren't proper humans? They look like humans to me. --Jayron32 17:40, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- Arcad1951 said "live models". That's "models" in the sense that they were paid for having their photographs taken. Maproom (talk) 18:55, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) The pictures are academic in nature, not pornographic. If a kid wants to see porn, they're gonna skip this site entirely. If a kid wants to learn about the human body, it's better they view an academic picture here than have to go looking for pornography. Do you want kids looking for pornography? Because removing the images are only going to encourage kids to look for pornography instead of seeing an academic image in a safe place. Or do you just not want kids to learn? Because if we restrict them to this site and do not include images, some kids are going to have a harder time learning. Ian.thomson (talk) 17:40, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- How do you see your proposal happening in practice? Blur from navel to knees? Wakari07 (talk) 17:54, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- Arcad1951 there is nothing pornographic about the images, which aren't engaged in any sexual practices at all. It may be that you belong to a culture or religion in which nudity is unacceptable per se, but you can't expect us to conform to what you think is right Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:18, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- There've been at this point seven people respond to this including on the article's talk. I think we've probably communicated that it's not a likely change, although I'm sure the user means well. GMGtalk 19:22, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

Labelled images
editHi, does anybody knwo how to improve the formatting of the labelling of the flags right at the beginning of this section? I guess ideally the descriptions should all be placed below the flag images and centered. Greetings--Converto (talk) 21:58, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- It's easy enough to move the captions down so that they're not overlapping the flags. But then a vertical scroll bar appears, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I could make a new version of the image, with some padding at the bottom, if there's no better way. Maproom (talk) 08:49, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
