Malicious editing of "No Labels" article

I wanted to remove POV and promotional language for the No Labels organization from its article , but someone keeps reverting my edits to a version that makes clearly malicious statement toward the organization. It may be that the article should be locked, or a header warning readers that the article is non-neutral (I don't know how to do that yet.) At any rate, someone should keep an eye on this page. Well, the IP has been warned quite a few times. I believe the IP would be blocked if they continue their attempts again. That said, two of your consecutive reverts of another IP's edits resulted in re-inserting non-npov and disruptive material here and here; quite similar to the primary disruptive IP's edits. I feel you may have done this mistakenly and in a hurry. But that's no excuse that most admins would buy. So please be careful and review the page after you undertake such reverts. If the disruption continues, you can also try to ask for temporary page protection to stop the PoV pushing and encourage talkpage discussion. Subjective or vague political labels are often problematic especially in controversial articles. If you can't find an indisputable source for such labels, it's often better to avoid them altogether - even if you believe they are entirely correct. I'd also note that the organization's own self-promotional description is inappropriate for the first lead sentence. The organization's goals and activities should be described from an uninvolved PoV based on independent sources. Their own PR statements are largely irrelevant. Question about lineup information for music festival

Someone removed a load of line-up information from this page back in April citing "sea of redlinks and mislinks", and yesterday I reverted it because it was useful information and it seemed a shame that someone had put effort into adding it and it had been removed. I accidentally didn't add a note to my undo, I was going to say "lots of information removed for seemingly no good reason". Now the person has undone my undo, saying "unexplained restoration of listcruft". I asked on #wikipedia before my initial undo and I was told by someone that red links are not a good reason to remove information, and I don't understand in general why so much info needed to be removed. It was a useful way of seeing the past lineups and locations for the festival. • No. Don't place the stuff back. Talk:Bloc Festival is the place you can post a query to TenPoundHammer and ask for their comments. In my view, the deletion of the excessive material is sensible. Not only does the material seem promotional and fan cruft, but the excessive number of red links do come out as unrequired. The maximum that can perhaps be done (again, in my opinion) is add a paragraph which consolidates names of some of the notable acts that have performed in the past few years. How is it promotional if it's literally just listing the names of artists that have played, and the locations and dates of the festival over the years? Other festivals pages have a similar thing, look at Lovebox Festival or Wireless Festival. If the issue is the amount of artists listed, then why not just reduce that instead of deleting everything? Now we literally have no information about the dates the festival was held and where it was held. Can we at least keep the dates and locations of the festival there, and maybe some of the headliners? I'd be happy to pull up some of the lineup flyers and whittle the list of artists down if that's the only problem. Bojo Skankins (talk) 11:49, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

(a) Take this discussion up on the talk page of the article (b) It may probably be sensible to list a summary of the notable artists who have performed over the years; as you mention, it may also be sensible to list in short the dates when this event has occurred. Subscribe to National "something" day

I used to get an email every day detailing it as National "something or other" Day, for example==Sept 11 was National Patriots Day. I am no longer getting this for some reason but would like to start receiving it again Can you help? Will you subscribe me for this daily email? Editing protected page

Dear,

I'm writing to you in order to inquire about the procedure for opening a specific page for editing. The page in question is rather controversial (https://hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabirni_logor_Jasenovac). It focuses on the WWII concentration and death camp and in current form represents an insult to families of victims that were executed in that camp- Also it serves as an example for how administrators bend the Wikipedia rules and protect pages that are not based on facts, representative references and ultimately distort the history.

Image size and plaecment on Voyager program

The very first image on the Voyager program article seems a bit big to me. I've had a scan through MOS but I can't see any guidance on the first image in an article when there's no infobox. The current image isn't unacceptable, but it does seem just too big.

• Probably a syntax error which I just corrected. The previous syntax was [[File:(filename)|thumb|440px|(caption)]]; as far as I understand, thumb was overriden by 440px, so I removed the latter. MOS:IMGSIZE says Only where a smaller or larger image is appropriate... (do stuff to change image size); I can see no reason to keep the image that big, much less specified in pixels. Clarence Thomas Associate Justice of the Supreme Court

How come on his page he is listed as a Judge not a Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Think you need to address this and correct.

Hello, at the page Clarence Thomas, the opening sentence states, "who currently serves as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States", so it is not clear what your issue relates to? Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 12:12, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

(edit conflict) In Clarence Thomas the short description says "Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States", the first sentence of the lede says that he "currently serves as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States", and the infobox describes him as "Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States". USA Truck, Inc. is not showing up in Wiki

The article's copyright problems are discussed at WP:Copyright problems/2018 August 9, and in that situation an admin will not restore it. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:32, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

(ec) If the article you are referring to is USA Truck, it was deleted due to copyright problems. It will not be possible to restore what was deleted. If this company meets the notability guidelines for companies written at WP:ORG, it may merit an article but it should consist of original text. If you work for or represent USA Truck, you need to review the conflict of interest and paid editing policies. How to get a consensus

Reassessing articles

Hey help desk folks. Just wondering, what's the best way to request a reassessment on an article which you created and would like a second opinion on the rating (otherwise I would just reass it myself myself), but the WikiProject's Assessments/Requests page is completely dead? When I create articles, they tend to start off as stubs, and therefore get assessed as stub or start class, but then I'll sometimes expand them to what would probably be C or B class.--SkyGazer 512 ^{Oh no, what did I do this time?} 19:07, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

I don't really know what you should do in that circumstance (normally I would say the WikiProject assessment/request, but that obviously won't work). If you post the articles here I (or someone else) can probably take a look - I'm not sure what you should do if this remains a problem - is there a wikiproject of assessments (which I couldn't find), and if so, is it active? @LittlePuppers: Thanks for replying. In this particular case, I'm thinking that the Southern eagle ray page could probably be upgraded to B or at least C class. I created it and expanded it to over 10,000 bytes a few months ago, and have been tweaking, refining, and copy-editing recently; and it appears to now meet the B-Class criteria. I listed it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Fishes/Assessment/Requests a long ways back, but didn't get any response - it appears that I'm the only person actually responding to requests on that page at the moment. There's also Template:Annual readership, which easily reports the daily page views of an article over time along with a header, using {{Graph:PageViews}}. Incorrect name
