Need to edit/remove link from this article

Hello and salam. I am referring to the Yusuf Al-Qardawi article here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yusuf_al-Qaradawi At the external links section (at the bottom of the article), there is a link to http://www.qaradawi.net - Official website. As I clicked on the link, it redirects me to a Thai sport website. And, I don't think that is the Qardawi official website, which is supposed in Arabic. Watchlist

Lately I've been having issues with my watchlist. For whatever reason, I haven't been able to see edits from unregistered users even though I have the filter turned off. I've only been able to see edits from registered users. I have the 'live update' feature turned on, but I have to refresh the page in order to see new edits. I also need help figuring out which filters I need to have on. Below are the filters that I want on, but for whatever reason my watchlist appears blank despite having them on.

• most recent edit
• edits made by others (IP's and registered users, excluding mine) (haven't been able to see IP edits and registered edits simultaneously)

I've been playing around with the filters to try and get it back to the way I had it before, but it just doesn't seem to be working the way I want it to. Has there been maintenance that's been going on that is affecting this? Yowashi (talk) 03:36, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

For me the watchlist appears fine, though I don't have much IP-heavy pages on. Make sure that in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-watchlist you have the boxes under "Changes shown" checked appropiately. So when you want IP edits to be visible, Hide edits by anonymous users from the watchlist shouldn't be checked. AFAIK the prefs override any filters you define. Yowashi, I came here to post the exact same problem. My watchlist is also hiding edits by IP addresses. I keep seeing reverts of IP editors, but no corresponding IP edit. Strange! –Novem Linguae (talk) 13:59, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

New user (?)

I suspect that a new user is pretending to be an old user. He recently made some seriously major changes to this article: Galicia (Eastern Europe). In fact, he effectively deleted it, and we had a polite discussion about it, but some things didn't add up. Where would I report my suspicions? WQUlrich (talk) 12:08, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello, WQUlrich. There is nothing to report. Micga has said on your talk page that they had a previous account. But even if they hadn't, there is nothing that needs reporting about a new user pretending to be an old one or vice versa, unless their behaviour is disruptive. Focus on the edits, not the editor, and assume good faith. --ColinFine (talk) 12:51, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Can someone help me set up ClueBot or lowercase sigmabot on my user talk page?

I would like my user talk page to be archived automatically, as it's getting pretty long, but I'm not sure how to set up the bots. May someone please do it for me? Thanks! Félix An (talk) 12:39, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Félix An, While this doesn't directly respond to your request, it reminds me of something I've thought about for years. When my talk page 1st became long enough that it needed archiving, I had no idea how to do it, and thankfully someone helped me out. requests such as yours show up here on a regular basis. This begs for an obvious solution. while I don't think every brand-new user should have archiving medically set up because the median new user probably will have under five edits and perhaps one edits to their talk page, but it doesn't sound like a difficult task to pick a threshold (500 user edits?) and have a bot search for those users can automatically add archiving to the talk page giving them an option to opt out. Is there any reason this should not happen? and of course who will bell the cat? S Philbrick(Talk) 13:16, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

There is also {{subst:User:ClueBot III/JustArchiveThis}}, which will cause ClueBot III to start archiving a talkpage with the default params. Victor Schmidt (talk) 13:35, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Film entries

The link is helpful, the short answer is this is a worldwide project.MPAA, is it was known until 2019, is an interest group that works for Hollywood. Some articles do discuss MPA ratings if there was something controversial about the film and it's rating. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:22, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Is leaked content allowed?

I am guessing this may seem like the obvious answer is no, since leaked content often comes from unverified sources. But I am more asking about leaked images from beta screenshots. Are those allowed on-wiki (even under a fair use claim), or are those also unverified? Aasim (talk) 19:11, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

That would depend a bit on if sources are talking about the leaked data. If say, something was post-release and the commentary was about how the game was different from the leaked screenshots were, I could see a need to show the screenshot that was being discussed. of course, you'd need RS commenting on this. After reviewing Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria, it seems that criteria #4 must be met. Given that the copyright holder would not authorize for the publishing of such content, that would mean the answer is no.

Moo

So On My Edit Of Cows I Put A Redirect Of The Sound That They Make. Then Later A User (I Forgot His Name) Said The Edit I Made did not appear ""constructive"' But On The Chicken Article, Cock A Doodle Doo Redirects There And Thats The Sound They Made. Dahou740, see WP:HAT. It isn't important to note what redirects to a page; the purpose of a hatnote is to explain if the redirect may be unexpected, and in the case of cow, the redirect would likely not confuse users. LittlePuppers (talk) 21:00, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

That is not it. The purpose of hatnotes is to point readers to other pages they might have been looking for. But placing {{Redirect|Moo|Doja Cat Song|Mooo!}} on Cattle as Dahou740 did in [2] does not make a redirect to the page. It makes a claim that "Moo" redirects to the page, but it's a false claim since Moo is a disambiguation page and not a redirect. The page mentions the song, the cattle sound, and many other meanings. Readers who enter "moo" in the search box are not taken to Cattle so that article doesn't need a hatnote for "moo". PrimeHunter (talk) 21:38, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Editing 'Stable version' field

The Mercurial page pointed to version 5.7.1 from March, 8 2021 as the latest stable release. I clicked on the 'pencil' (pen?) icon to edit that which took me to the Wikidata page. I published the information for the most recent (May 3, 2021) release, 5.8. But the Mercurial page still reflects the old (5.7.1) version. How do I get that page to reflect the latest version?

Second question: I looked at the page history to see if I could understand how the version number changes, but the 'history' presentation of old pages that predate the 5.7.1 release (e.g., if you look at the [3] Feb 22] version). Is there a way to properly reflect the historical page as it was rendered on that day? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.229.59.142 (talk • contribs)

It looks like you also have to edit that version and the previous version by going to the circle with the arrow above and below it, and change the old version to the circle ("normal rank") and the new version to the up arrow ("preferred rank"). As for how to see the page as it appeared on that day, I'm not sure of the best way to do that; you can look at the history of the version number on wikidata (where you changed it); you could try something like archive.org, but I'm not sure if that would have it.
