editPassword issue
editI normally login as "Errantius", with a Safari password on my Mac keychain. When I added WP to Lastpass, the password was no longer recognised by WP - whether Lastpass was on or off, and also after WP had been removed from Lastpass.
I don't think I gave "Errantius" an email address. Can the password please be reactivated? (It is not the same as that for "rofish".) I'm quite well known as "Errantius" (and formerly as "Wikiain") and would rather not have to bother people by switching again to another account. Thanks Rofish (talk) 00:20, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Rofish: Just noting that I've moved your question to the proper place. Isabelle 🔔 00:27, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Rofish: If you don't recall the password, and don't have email set up on that account, nothing can be done. The password cannot be recovered. RudolfRed (talk) 00:57, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- User:Errantius has not specified an email address. PrimeHunter (talk) 02:11, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you all very much. However, the password is not forgotten. I have a password in Keychain which was working perfectly well: it just is no longer recognised. It is the same for Wikipedia and for Wikimedia, and is what I had put into Lastpass for Wikipedia. Rofish (talk) 03:04, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Rofish: Passwords don't expire or stop being recognised. I don't know Keychain or Lastpass but try another browser or device without password software which may interfere with your login. Passwords are case sensitive. PrimeHunter (talk) 04:38, 30 January 2022 (UTC)

I have one more request. I have opened a new account, "Errantios" (now logging in as such) - which this time does have an email address! The name is as similar as possible to "Errantius", since I intend to use it in the same areas of interest and want it to be familiar to others.
I'd be extremely grateful if an Administrator would be kind enough to move all of the "Errantius" page, including history and watchlist if possible, to "Errantios" (I'd then alter the content to match) and add a redirect from "Errantius" to "Errantios" (or tell me that I can do it as "Errantios"). Thank you. Errantios (talk) 10:26, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Ending this story: I can still get to "Errantius" by clicking on it in the history of changes to an article, and have copied the "Errantius" page to "Errantios" as if 'under new management'. I can't put a redirect into "Errantius" or get to the "Errantius" watchlist, but these are not disasters. And "Errantios" has a contact email (created in Gmail only for this purpose and so very private), so I shouldn't fall into this pickle jar again. Errantios (talk) 22:36, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
How to Protect
edit- Pokémon Legends: Arceus Needs to Protect. --💻HACKER (talk) 07:43, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Some IP Users Users Vandalizing Pokémon Legends: Arceus --💻HACKER (talk) 07:53, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- @애국심 존중: A one-week semi-protection expired 7 hours ago [1]. Are you saying the IP edits since then are vandalism? It doesn't look like vandalism to me and you have edited the article without reverting it. See Wikipedia:Requests for page protection if there are new problems you think require protection. PrimeHunter (talk) 07:57, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- @PrimeHunter: About This User? --💻HACKER (talk) 08:10, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- At Pokémon Legends: Arceus, That Article Was Protected. --💻HACKER (talk) 12:45, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Please clarify which problem you see. The IP made one mistake but fixed it three minutes later. Their edits [2][3] look harmless. If you think the IP edited the article while it was protected then that's not what happened. The protection expired, the IP made edits, and a bot removed the protection template. The template doesn't cause protection but merely informs users about it. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:30, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- @PrimeHunter: Ok. I checked The IP Edits Were Harmless. --💻HACKER (talk) 22:33, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
video game articles
editplease show the cast such as voice actors of video games also like films. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.163.248.78 (talk) 13:13, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- If the cast is known for a particular video game, it can certainly be added. You are welcome to do so. 331dot (talk) 13:28, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- If the cast is given by a reliable source, it can certainly be added. Not if it's just circulating on social media, for example. --ColinFine (talk) 13:47, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
Help!
editI am new here. I made a couple of requests here, here and here. I don't know if I made those requests correctly. Please take a look and do the needful. Almost a week has passed since I started making these requests!-2405:204:5097:B014:3155:FF24:EF38:55B (talk) 19:52, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- There is discussion happening for each of those requests. Continue the discussion there. Don't come here and act like the requests are being ignored. RudolfRed (talk) 20:17, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
Searching hidden text on mobile
editOn mobile, Wikipedia hides subsections, which makes "Find in page" not work for those sections. Is there some easy way to search within the folded sections, or to unfold all the sections in the article? Thanks, --Macrakis (talk) 22:51, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Macrakis: I don't see anything to expand all sections on the mobile site. Try switching to desktop view. RudolfRed (talk) 23:08, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
