Event information
editArt+Feminism is a weekend-long event where people all over the world improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia + encourage female editorship. You are invited to our edit-a-thon in San Francisco, and feel free to bring a friend! We will work together to improve articles on these themes. People with no Wikipedia editing experience are welcome; there will be experienced editors who can help you get started and answer all of your questions.
See List of articles to edit for some example topics, and you can also find your own topics to edit.

- Time: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm (there will be presentations near the beginning especially for first-time editors, but you can stop by anytime during these hours and leave whenever you like)

If you sign up, we can observe how your username uses the Wikimedia projects during and after this event. This will help us to better measure the effectiveness of this event and similar programs. This means that your publicly available activity and the information you share with us during this event may be processed by the Wikimedia Foundation, Art+Feminism, and the organizers of the local event, and may be transferred to or from the US and other countries that may not have the same level of privacy regulation that your country does. However, we will not share your information with third parties or publicly unless it's in aggregated or anonymized form.
Prior to the event:
- Do you have a Wikipedia User Name?
- No? Create a Wikipedia account
- Yes? Go to Step #2
- Sign up! Follow this link SF CCA A+F and first sign in with your Wikipedia User Name, by clicking the "Log in with Wikipedia" button, then, after logging in, clicking the purple "Join" button so that your name will be added to the Editors for CCA A+F 2017!

editIf you can't make it to Simpson Library in person, but would still like to participate, you are more than welcome to do so remotely. Follow this link SF CCA A+F and sign up! Once you are signed up you can click the "Assign myself an article" button to add articles you've worked on.

By car from the East Bay:
- Cross the Bay Bridge (80 west)
- Take the 9th Street exit, turn left on 8th street, and get into the lane second from the left
- Turn left on Brannan, right on 7th Street, right on Irwin Street, and right on 8th Street
By car from the Peninsula/South:
- Take Highway 101 north
- Exit at Vermont Street and turn right on 16th Street, then left on Wisconsin
By car from Marin/North:
- Cross the Golden Gate Bridge
- Take the Lombard Street exit, turn right on Van Ness Avenue, cross Market Street, and continue on South Van Ness
- Turn left on 16th Street and left again on Wisconsin
Public transit
editCCA's San Francisco campus can be reached by one of a few BART stations:
- From 16th Street Mission, take the 55 bus east to 16th & Missouri
- From Civic Center, take the 19 bus south to 15th Street & Rhode Island
- From Montgomery, take the 10 bus south to 15th Street & Rhode Island
