RE: Art Spiegelman and my consistent removal from his page.
I would like to again ask that I be included in the article on Art Spiegelman, my friend and boyfriend from 1966-1996 or so. His most recent book, Co-Mix, shows, in his "Grain of Sand" comics, going down one of the "I's" in the title (may require a magnifying glass), "I love you, Ladybelle."
Please see my discussion with one of the editors on this matter. There are also many images of Art and myself on Facebook, on my page, some of which can be found by running a Google search for Art Spiegelman and Ladybelle Fiske.
He and I were very close and I was the closest thing he had to a wife till he met Françoise Mouly in 1975. He also did draw some of "MAUS" at Quarry Hill, my home in Vermont, in my little writing cabin in the mountains.
Many friends of ours would be able and willing to provide statements as to my importance to Art. I don't understand why it is so difficult to get my name mentioned. I helped Art and Françoise create "Top Drawer Rubber Stamp Company," and the images were made by friends of ours who lived at Quarry Hill. Laurence Mouly, Françoise's sister, lived with us in Vermont (it is Vermont's oldest commune-- see the Quarry Hill Creative Center page.
Quarry HIll and I were an important part of Art's life. I will soon publish a memoir of my life which mentions the relationship, though by no means is the book only about Art. I consider him a friend and an old lover, famous or not. I too am not unknown in my home state of Vermont. To me, he's just a friend I once knew, not God. Thanks, Ladybelle Fiske (Isabella Fiske McFarlin) Ladybelle Fiske (talk) 03:48, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- Not done The article has not been deleted, and this is a dispute over the content of the article. Wikipedia runs on reliable sources and WP:CONSENSUS. A person should never be directly editing an article where they have direct involvement. You may propose edits on the article talkpage, but ensure they are sourced to valid, reliable, third party sources - never personal knowledge. Through talkpage discussion, it will be determined if your proposals are accpted into the article or not the panda ₯’ 09:13, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- See also Talk:Art Spiegelman#Removed digressive material. Ladybelle Fiske, did you read the policy page you were referred to there regarding no original research? The issue is not that anyone has said they don't believe you or discounted your relationship. It's that Wikipedia only properly covers material that is the subject of, and verifiable in, reliable published sources, giving such information due weight in proportion to the prominence of each viewpoint in those published, reliable sources.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:28, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

SbX Green Line
The sbX Green Line needs a page separate from the page entitled San Bernardino Express because the Green Line is a specific route of an entire BRT system in development by Omnitrans. The information on the San Bernardino Express should be amended to be a more general overview of the system. Information about the lines and network and the differences are already included on the websites that are/were cited on both the (now deleted) Green Line page as well as the San Bernardino Express page. -Snoopyloopy (talk) 05:58, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- Not done. The two articles are substantially identical, with the only major difference being in the lead of the deleted article. Essentially all of the content already contained within San Bernardino Express was included in the deleted article. Please consider expanding the existing article instead, creating subsections as necessary. Alternatively, the existing article can be renamed. ~Amatulić (talk) 16:48, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

FlexRAID
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FlexRAID should be restored. FlexRAID is a technology used by thousands of users around the world. It promotes a technical approach that's worth documenting for the benefit of data protection. The page was deleted due to lack of its understanding and origin. Wikipedia is meant to educate and not enforce ignorance. Deleting a page that discusses of a technology with growing following is more of a sabotage rather than furthering any objective goal. Please restore the page for the thousands if not millions of users that can benefit from understanding the technology. The wiki page was created by this user who has no relation with the developers (search for FlexRAID on this page): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Smurf-IV/Toolset. You even have companies talking of the technologies on their sites: http://assassinhtpcblog.com/server-flexraid/. - Also, please be aware that in order to re-create the page you must show how the company passes WP:CORP by way of coverage in reliable sources (WP:RS). Saying that something is popular (WP:ITSPOPULAR) or that it'd be useful (WP:USEFUL) are not good arguments to show notability. Only coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject can show notability. Now when it comes to why it was deleted in the first place, please assume good faith rather than making comments that insinuate that this was a deliberate sabotage. That will not help you when it comes to approaching people, as it puts people on the defensive and makes them less likely to want to help you. It's better to ask politely and to not say things that may sound disparaging. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:19, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

just now i join Wikipedia with my dreams to write about my mother -Kang Jun-ho (born 1996) (talk) 12:53, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
- Not done I deleted the page, but the problem here is that you edited the page to seem too much like an article and a personal webpage. As far as editing about your mother goes, I would highly recommend that you get someone to help you out with that to ensure that you understand notability policies but also deal with issues of WP:COI. Since you have an obvious conflict of interest here, it would be very easy for you to see notability where there might not be any. I don't mean this to sound harsh, but people do not have automatic notability because they exist or have existed. We would have to see where she's received coverage in reliable sources. Now as far as userpages go, I always recommend that people look at pages such as User:Yunshui, as it's a great example of how people can be very creative and have some information about themselves, but still fall within normal guidelines. All userpages must pertain to how you edit on Wikipedia. Some personal information is fine, but the page should not be written as if it is an article in the mainspace. I got an auto-deletion message about 2 seconds after saving the article. Obviously, the content is not the issue as it could not be checked after such a short amount of time. There have been times when I accidentally clicked "Preview" instead of save, and then leave without realizing that my changes weren't actually saved, so I am sure it happens to others. ~Amatulić (talk) 01:57, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
Alzo David-West
I noticed this Wikipedia bio of a living person (social scientist) originally linked at The Cleanest Race page. Now, the living person bio has suddenly disappeared. David-West is a well-known social scientist in the North Korean studies field. If I recall correctly, the bio was on Wikipedia for seven years. -Morph93 (talk) 22:19, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
- Observation: The article didn't contain evidence that the subject was notable, and it was tagged as such for almost 8 years without improvement. It was deleted in accordance with WP:PROD, which, when tagged, allowed for at least a week for improvement to save it from deletion — but again, nothing was done. Now it's deleted, and suddenly its absence gets noticed? Will restoring it result in improvements, if none have been made in so many years? Will you make improvements if it is restored? ~Amatulić (talk) 03:24, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
- I have to kind of second this statement as well. I'm just a little concerned over the lack of attention the article received and I'll be honest, there are a lot of articles that get restored that never get the promised attention. I'm not really finding a lot when I search for sources either, so I think I'd like to see some sort of evidence that he passes notability guidelines. The thing to remember is that being known isn't the same as being notable per our guidelines, which are admittedly fairly strict. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:42, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. Morph93 here writing under Morph94. I lost my password for the first account. About the deleted bio, I looked up Wikipedia:Notability (academics) and searched Google, Google Books, and Google Scholar. David-West meets criteria #1 (scholars cite him in academic articles, books, and dissertations, and he is published in high-profile journals like Critical Sociology and Korean Studies) and #7 (he publishes short stories, and the literary journal Cha interviewed him). So the subject is notable. I guess I could make improvements to the bio if it is restored, but I would have to do all those Google searches again for the sources. >_< - Morph94 (talk) 02:36, 6 August 2014 (UTC)

- Not done, the page Author Hariom Chaudhary has been tagged for speedy deletion, the way to contest this is on the talk page or by editing the page itself to meet our criteria for an encyclopedia article. If you read the blurb at the top of the page it explains the role of this board, which is only to undelete material which has been deleted uncontroversially (e.g. restoring a userpage, etc.). - I'll add on to this by saying that the page was so unambiguously promotional that it would require a complete re-write in order to pass notability guidelines. As far as publishing goes, that doesn't automatically bestow notability regardless of how it is published. Considering that his books seem to have been self-published, that sort of decreases the likelihood that they'd gain coverage. It doesn't mean that they can't get noticed, but it's usually fairly rare. I also note that your username and the name of the author are fairly similar, which gives off the impression that you are writing about yourself. Because of this, I'd like to point you towards our conflict of interest guidelines at WP:COI. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 20:26, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

This game was one of the first MMO's and is not simply a web page. I'm endeavouring to obtain further information on it and ultimately through contacting other ex-players or contributors to the game hope to document the broader characteristics of its game play. Many gamers believe that the games that appeared 5-10 years later, were amongst the pioneers, but this predates them and is significant. My real name is Adrian Ruzsicska and I worked in the Gaming Industry for almost 10 years with Nokia. Additionally, the "Speedy Deletion" provided me little opportunity to defend the article and/or introduce additional content that would have brought it "in order". While I accept that it was brief and may have inadequately fulfilled requirements, as a newcomer who is intending to help broaden Wikipedia's horizons, I would hope some latitude is given as I develop the necessary skills to drive this Wiki. -ARuz888 (talk) 16:39, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

- Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about people. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. In RHaworth talk I see that the deletion was "uncontroversial". There was some redirect involved about my article for creation (Rotating Armature Alternator), that I had no part in.
I was using my page as a sandbox because I had read that actual sandboxes were automatically cleaned out after three days. I did not want to submit my article while I cleaned it. I was looking for a way to protect it while it was under construction.
Someone said my article was "patently" not ready for acceptance. I must be obvious that my article is not ready. If it is patent, then it should be easy to tell me exactly where to start! I know it not polished.
I have been asking for concrete help.
Please give me my name "page" back. Douglas Nelson Turner (talk) 09:25, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
