- The Wikipedia:Top 25 Report was created in January 2013. This page is part of an archive project to preserve data from previous popular page reports.
← Last month's report – Next month's report →
The most viewed articles for September 2004 (September 1-27), derived from historical data scattered in various places on the English Wikipedia, wikimedia.org, and elsewhere.
The September 2004 statistics were first posted at Wikipedia:Popular_pages on October 29, 2004, and was limited to a list of pages exceeding 10,000 hits for the month. At this time, Wikipedia used Webalizer to track page views, archive.org has preserved a copy of the September 2004 report with includes the 50 most popular URLs: [1]. Note that his report is missing three days -- it covers September 1-27, 2004, and does not appear to have ever been updated for the full month.
The list includes the Main Page (unlike the way the WP:TOP25 is currently done), but the list when created was curated to exclude non-article pages.
