If I'm reading the question correctly, it looks like Jeff White has acheived a quadruple double twice this season. According to the AFL Tables website, against Geelong in round 3 he had 10 kicks, 10 marks, 15 handballs and 10 hit outs and against Freo in round 7 he had 11 kicks, 10 marks, 11 handballs and 10 hit outs. Don't I feel like The Dope, not The Pope. When I did the filter on the spreadsheet, I did ">10", not ">=10". So Big Dean Cox is the only guy to have a quadruple 11 or more, but White twice, Hille, Jolly and Symmonds all have quad-doubles using hitouts, and Scott Thompson the crow has one vs the Eagles with 10 tackles. Yes, Craig Nettelbeck is the answer. I'm surprised he doesn't have an article as well. He was engaged to a tv vet at one stage and there was a high profile court case he was involved in as well, IIRC.

He'd have an article if he didn't have a car accident on the way to the footy the week he was meant to make his debut for Freo (as I've finished off the list for every player who's played for Freo earlier this year). A Carlton player was running with the ball down the wing in front of the Brewongle stand, only to be 'tackled' by a Swans player by the hair. I'm back home and have the book Football's 50 Greatest (in the past 50 years) by Greg Hobbs and Scotty Palmer in front of me so I can authoritatively state that the top 10 was: 1. Ted Whitten, 2. Polly Farmer, 3. John Coleman, 4. Dick Reynolds, 5. Haydn Bunton, 6. Jezza, 7. Jack Mueller, 8. Ian Stewart, 9. Laurie Nash & 10. Darel Baldock. Barassi was 11, Skilton 12, Dyer 21, KB 33, Carji Greeves, 37, Brian Dixon 49 & Lou 50. The only South Australian to make it was (at first glance) Bernie Smith.
