The current lichen task force collaboration article is Lichens and air pollution. Cast your vote for our next collaboration. |
The lichen task force collaboration is a coordinated effort to improve Wikipedia's lichen-related content. Being a member of the task force is not a prerequisite for participation; all Wikipedians, regardless of their level of expertise on the subject, are welcome to contribute. Aside from the main benefit of creating better lichen articles for Wikipedia, we hope this initiative will attract new editors to the work of the task force, improve the writing skills of existing editors, and demonstrate the value of collaboration on Wikipedia. The goal is to get one article to GA or FA status every quarter.
This collaboration project was initiated in December 2023.
Nomination procedure
editAny user may nominate an article to be collaborated upon. Nominated articles should:
- Be about any lichen or directly lichen-related topic.
- Need a significant amount of work in terms of content, organisation, prose, etc.
- If an already-existing article, it should not be the subject of an edit war nor be under edit protection.
If you would like to nominate an article, please add it at the bottom of the list, along with a short note describing why you think it should be chosen.

Nominations
editPlease list nominees below using the wikicode specified in the section above. New nominations should be placed on the bottom of the list. Vote for as many nominees as you'd like, but only once per nomination, please. Articles will remain on the list for nine months. For the current collaboration, see the template at the top of the page.
The next lichen task force collaboration will be chosen either when the current collaboration reaches GA status, or when there has been no significant activity on the article for at least two months.

- Lichens are potentially in big trouble from climate change, and we don't currently have an article detailing how or why. MeegsC (talk) 16:02, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

- This article is consistently one of our most popular, ranking second or third on the most-viewed list every month. However, much information is currently lacking, and our readers deserve better. MeegsC (talk) 16:10, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
