Wikipedia:WikiProject Migrants of Colour Stories Aotearoa
This project aims to increase and improve content and visibility of migrant people of colour (including people with migrant heritage and those signigicant to New Zealand history) and their histories significant to Aotearoa New Zealand.
Project
editThis project page was created in September 2024 by the Auckland Museum Wikimedian in Residence Winnieswikiworld.
This is a continuation of a project conceived during a 10-week Wikipedia Summer Studentship with the museum. Which aims to present more diverse and comprehensive migrant of colour histories in Aotearoa New Zealand.
This project will include increasing biography pages in Wikipedia as well as content on Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons. There will also be a specific target to increase new articles about women and non-binary folk.
