Priorities
edit- List of Oregon state parks is completely bluelinked, but most are stubs.
- Clackamas Wilderness is (I think) a new wilderness.
- The state park section of the navigation template template:Protected Areas of Oregon has about 20% redlinkage.
- About 70% of the state wildlife areas are redlinked at template:Protected Areas of Oregon.
- List of Oregon state forests has only one redlink left, Clatsop State Forest
Hot springs
edit- Antelope Hot Springs
- Bagby Hot Springs: article needs to be expanded
- Belknap Hot Springs: redirects to Belknap Springs, Oregon which has some historical facts and URLs sufficient to fill out article
- Bigelow Hot Springs: placeholder stub: article needs to be written
- Breitenbush Hot Springs: a multifaceted article about the springs, resort and community; needs photos
- Cougar Hot Springs: more than a stub, but needs better wikilinks, expansion and photos
- Cove Hot Springs Pool: links from Cove, Oregon
- Greeley Bar Hot Springs: article needs to be written
- Hart Mountain Hot Spring
- Jackson Hot Springs: article needs to be written, can be linked to Neale Donald Walsch.
- Lehman Hot Springs: article needs to be written
- McCredie Hot Springs: redirects to McCredie Springs, Oregon, which is a stub
- Mickey Hot Springs: placeholder stub: article needs writing
- Paulina Lake Hot Springs: article needs to be written
- Umpqua Hot Springs: stub article ready for more detail, better wikilinks, history, coordinate, photos
- http://soakoregon.com/ lists 45 Oregon hot springs, and category:Hot springs of Oregon lists only 17. Check italic links in the category—those are redirects, usually to a nearby community.
Articles needing attention
edit- List of Oregon lakes: missing most lakes, though most in the category category:Lakes of Oregon are listed.
- Henry Hagg Lake: still kind of stubby. [1]
Other places
edit- Wallowa Lake
- Eagle Cap Wilderness
- Glenn Otto Park: This and the next two are referenced by Sandy River (Oregon).
- This one is now a stub
- Dabney State Recreation Area: stubby
- Oxbow Park
- Silver Creek (Oregon), flows through Silverton Reservoir and Silver Falls at Silver Falls State Park
- Hood River Valley

editThings to alert USGS about
editIn honor of a member of WP:ORE getting the USGS to change the listing for Lake Creek, Oregon from "Lakecreek", and another member getting them to fix the coordinates for the source and mouth of Columbia Slough which have changed due to infill, here is a list of potential inaccuracies we have found that might be mentioned to the USGS:
- Adair Tract State Forest--renamed and now part of McDonald-Dunn Forest
- George T. Gerlinger State Experimental Forest--see Talk:List of Oregon state forests
- McDonald State Forest--with Adair/Dunn, now administered by OSU
- D River and Devils River may be different names for the same thing
- London, Oregon and London Springs, Oregon--what gives?
- Copper, Jackson County, Oregon is now underwater
- That Wikipedia itself does not consider itself a reliable source and thus best not to cite Wikipedia? (Referring to Nicknames of Portland, Oregon)
- Point out that Robinette is also now underwater (since 1958)
- Tri City, Oregon and Tri-City, Oregon listed as separate places rather than alternate spellings
- Neahkahnie, Oregon and Neahkahnie Beach, Oregon are the same place
Things to alert OGN about
editOregon Geographic Names is incredibly comprehensive but still missing a few things. Let's list them here and send a note to the authors requesting they add these to the Good Book, if possible.
