During this project, you will be participating in the Art+Feminism campaign (artandfeminism.org), which aims to improve coverage of cis and transgender women, non-binary folks, feminism and the arts on Wikipedia.
You will meet with GSS Librarian Rosalinda Linares on Zoom for two library sessions. In the first online library session, you will learn more about editing Wikipedia from a feminist perspective and develop sound research strategies for finding, evaluating, and using biographical sources. In the second online library session, you will edit the Wikipedia articles of the artist you have chosen based on individual research you've done on a particular cis or transgender woman and/or gender/sexual minority artist of your choice.
Your final assignment for this project will be the following:
Add at least 3 sentences to your assigned article, and cite each statement to a reliable source (it can be the same source for all three sentences). Add at least 2 additional citations to existing statements in your assigned article
