This class is an intermediate-level course that explores the historic roots of the demand for political, social, and economic justice for women and studies the development of feminist theory and activism through a comparative analysis of England and the United States—with some attention to the writings of French feminists—from the late seventeenth century to the 1970s.
The Wikipedia assignment is a research assignment designed to allow you to use your growing knowledge of the "roots of feminism" in a public platform and as a supplement to the material on the syllabus.
