edit- Open Access Wikipedia Challenge at Peer to Peer University The challenge is to embed media that was harvested from Open Access journals in Wikipedia, earn special barnstar too.

edit- Sydney - On 13 October, there was an editathon at the State Library of New South Wales, where editors worked on articles about compositions from a top 100 countdown of Australia's favourite French works of classical music run by ABC Classic FM.
South Africa
edit- Centurion - on 29 and 30 October, a 2 day Train the Trainer session was held by ITOCA and Wikimedia South Africa, in which a group of approximately 30 delegates (mostly librarians, with a few academics and public and private sector workers included) were taught the basics of how to use Wikipedia in libraries and academic settings. The trainer was David Richfield.
