Pages to edit, create, or 'watch'
editBelow is a list of pages that need editing, and a list of pages that need creating.
Please add any missing names to the lists. Please search the page first to check that you are not adding a duplicate entry, and insert names in alphabetical order by surname.
If you edit or create a page, please add it to the monthly lists found in the 'Welcome' tab under 'Outcomes'. This is really important, and helps us to keep track of our progress as well as helping to consolidate your work.
At the bottom, you’ll find our ‘watchlists’ of pages for classicists alive and dead. These are as close to a finished page as you’ll find on Wikipedia.
When you think the page you have edited is complete, please move the entry to the relevant watchlist, and put the date in brackets after it. Getting a page to this point is a fantastic achievement!
You can also help to make the work of women classicists more visible in other ways such as:
- adding references to their scholarship on other pages;
- adding works by women translators to the lists of translations which feature on the pages referring ancient texts;
- ensuring that if their names appear in other entries they are linked to their Wikipedia entry;
- checking the entries for men with whom they were/are associated (e.g. as spouse, sibling, parent/child) and ensuring that there is correct information about the woman scholar.

Group watchlist
editThese are pages that are now at a point where they are substantial and up to date and the need is for them to be kept current and quality controlled. There are two lists: active and deceased. The 'active' list should be checked more frequently as there may be (e.g.) new publications or other references to add.
To use the lists:
- visit the page history and compare the different versions
- make any updates or corrections necessary. If you find substantial work is needed and you haven't time, you can move the entry from here to one of the lists above.
- if someone has improved the page since it was checked, consider using the button on the page history page to thank them
- put the date the page was checked in brackets after its entry below.
