I can see how often pictures can be helpful, especially infographics, articles about objects, etc.; but often it seems that pictures are added just for the sake of having a picture, as tho every article needs to have a picture. Just for example, what led me to finally ask this question is a image request on Talk:Judaism and abortion, is there really a point in having an image on such an page?
