Wikipedia talk:Article traffic jumps

site traffic

edit

This is not the best place to post this question (but I am not sure what is): Why is there (apparently) no replacement for the discontinued stats.grok.se? Looked today, but couldn't find any general statistics, after 2015, re monthly visits by Wikipedia site or page. Drewkeeling (talk) 11:22, 3 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Drewkeeling: http://stats.grok.se/ is unstable but not discontinued. It worked for me yesterday but not now. The top of page histories and the bottom of "Page information" in the left pane have a link on "Page view statistics" to https://tools.wmflabs.org/pageviews/. I don't know whether it can organize data by month. PrimeHunter (talk) 11:55, 3 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Google Doodles

edit

Maybe a section on topics feature on Google Doodles? I'm sure Mary Blair has had quite a boost today. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 21:23, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Article traffic jumps

Is there some systematic collection of data for articles receiving over 1M views because I know it has happened the past few weeks and I only see older records listed. Liz Read! Talk! 21:29, 17 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notre Dame de Paris

edit

There was a big jump in traffic (~1000 daily views) to what looks like slightly over 1 million (based off the graph on the talk page) after the cathedral caught on fire. Clovermoss (talk) 20:44, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Stats.grok.se does not seem to work

Is there any replacement for this that can get views for old stuff? DemonDays64 (talk) 01:39, 28 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Robb Elementary School shooting

Should Robb Elementary School shooting be mentioned here, per 1M+ page views recently? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:51, 27 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to archive this page

edit

This page is rarely updated and would be insanely long if you were to add every single article traffic jump in Wikipedia history. I think the Wikipedia:Top 25 Report does a good enough job at tracking article jumps. Jolielover (talk) 08:22, 9 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
