Wikipedia talk:Articles in many other languages but not on English Wikipedia

How is this list being done?

edit

Coming from the German WP which doesn't have a comparable list, I was wondering how you do it. Are the entries manually being researched or do you use a bot? Any advice or how-to that you can share to help projects in other languages to get their own lists would be very helpful! Stilfehler (talk) 14:04, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Kc kennylau:
In 2012, you created this page with this great list that interests other WP versions as the german (read previous message from Stilfehler) and french (me)'ones. How did you do this list ? I guess you used a script for that based on WP API but can you share us it ? Laszlo (talk) 09:13, 22 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

NGC Objects

edit

Many of the NGC objects don't have English Wikipedia articles but are in other languages for example NGC 4547 doesn't exist on the English Wikipedia but exists on the Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Bosnian, Chechen, Czech, German, Dimli, Esperanto, Basque, French, Croatian, Kazakh, Macedonian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Slovak, Serbian, Turkish, Tatar, Ukrainian and Uzbek Wikipedias.

Most other NGC Objects that don't have English Wikipedia articles are usually found in those languages above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.72.184.76 (talk) 20:57, 9 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Any reason why Radio Studio 54 Network has no English translation?

edit

As of me writing this, there's 132 articles for this radio network, but none in English, or French (the two languages i speak unfortunately) why is this? Is it blacklisted for some reason, or has no one ever gotten around to making it? I found that this is in perfect english, though it is not the english wikipedia. I also can barely find ANY english articles on the subject, is there a specific reason for this? XanderK09 (talk) 18:32, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

This page seemed like a good idea, but now just looks like it surfaces garbage

edit

Why is this page prominently listed in the resources for collaboration template? Among the top pages it surfaces, none are good candidates for a newbie to start an article. A porn star, a ponzi-scheme-like bitcoin exercise app that was already deleted from Wikipedia, a radio station (discussed above) which has been deleted from three prominent-language Wikipedias. I think this page needs a warning on it to steer new users away. Yoderj (talk) 10:46, 8 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
