Users contributions on mobile

edit

(not AMC) users contributions on mobile has been changed, is there anyone noticed that? The users contributions style on mobile is now the same as the users contributions style in Advance mobile. How to change it? —Ctrlwiki (talk) 00:59, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Ctrlwiki: Enable and then disable Advanced mode. PrimeHunter (talk) 02:01, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
it didn't work. I want the old one, it's style is simple. —Ctrlwiki (talk) 03:11, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Apparently it was removed deliberately. See Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#The style of Special:Contributions on mobile version has been changed. Nardog (talk) 03:40, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

It should be easier to find. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.34.234.175 (talk) 00:02, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Info on accessing user contributions is incorrect as far as I can tell

edit

The current article says: "* Another registered user's contributions page. To access the contributions of a logged-in user (named account), go to the user page (e.g., User:Example) and click on the User contributions link listed under the Tools menu on the right-hand side of the screen. This works even if the user page has not been created yet (i.e., an edit box displays)."

However, for me on a windows PC at least, the tools menu appears on the left hand side. Can someone fix this? I cannot since this is locked. 162.154.240.33 (talk) 10:54, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

There are two menus in current default skin (Vector 2022):
  • Main menu on the left:
    • Main menu
      • Main page
      • Contents
      • Current events
      • Random article
      • About Wikipedia
      • Contact us
      • Donate
      • Switch to old look
    • Contribute
      • Help
      • Learn to edit
      • Community portal
      • Recent changes
      • Upload file
  • Tools menu on the right
    • General
      • What links here
      • Related changes
      • User contributions ← you're looking for this
      • User logs
      • View user groups
      • Special pages
      • Permanent link
      • Page information
      • Get shortened URL
    • Print/export
      • Download as PDF
      • Printable version
The tools menu is hidden by default. It is accessible through "Tools" in the right hand side toolbar "Read / Edit / View history / Tools", which is just below the language selector. —andrybak (talk) 11:37, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
As per timeline on Wikipedia:Vector 2022, the default skin was changed on 18 January 2023, with further changes to the Tools menu on January 23. The sentence about placement of the "User contributions" link was updated accordingly on 4 February 2023. —andrybak (talk) 11:43, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Only show edits that are **not** latest revisions?

edit

I see in talk history the section where "Only show edits that are latest revisions" was born.

But what I commonly want to see is: pages where my contributions aren't the latest revision, since that means somebody else has edited the page after me.

This would instantly tell me if someone might have stealth-reverted or otherwise edited a page I recently edited. (I mostly stay away from high-traffic pages)

How do I easily see the opposite of "Only show edits that are latest revisions"?

More formally: the pages I have contributed to, but only the pages with later edits than mine. CapnZapp (talk) 16:27, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

(The page can still show my edits as opposed to those of others. I'm still looking at "my contributions" after all. But I would know entries don't include pages I don't have any reason to visit, namely those where my last edit still is the current one) CapnZapp (talk) 16:31, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
@CapnZapp: The script User:Markhurd/hidetopcontrib can help with this. When viewing a list of contributions, you can click a new option on the "More" menu to hide all the lines that say "(Current)" -- John of Reading (talk) 16:51, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Will this functionality (or something like it) find its way into the standard functionality of Contributions? CapnZapp (talk) 17:01, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Auto-refresh

edit

This is my suggestion for a feature addition: Adding an auto-refresh feature, like Recent changes, for contributions. This would be good for those who want to fight users who keep vandalizing articles. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 12:32, 20 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

User:andrybak/Scripts/Contribs ranger

edit

User:andrybak/Scripts/Contribs ranger.js is a user script, which makes it easier to use &offset= and &limit= in URLs to contribs. A month ago I looked for such tools and couldn't find any, so made my own. Ping to PrimeHunter, who participated in that discussion.

I've also included a link to Wikipedia:User scripts/List#Contributions in the "See also" section. Plus, watchers of this page might find the script useful. —andrybak (talk) 22:25, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
