1956 State Reorganization Act

RFC is going on about the location of Hogenakkal Falls. Access to the detailed copy of 1956 state reorganization is needed that includes falls. Please post it here if you find one. Please visit discussions if you want to see the purpose.Naadapriya (talk) 07:49, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Hogenakkal Falls

There is currently a dispute on the talk page of the article in question relating to whether the falls are in part within the boundaries of the state of Karnataka, as well as in the state of Tamil Nadu. Any party who would be able to present clear evidence that Karnataka has made some sort of territorial claim on the area of the falls themselves is more than welcome to indicate as much, as the luck of such clear, reliable, verifiable, information is the nexus of the current discussion there. WP:INDIA Tagging with TinucherianBot

TinucherianBot can automatically tag articles with {{WP India}} Banner as {{WP India|class=|importance=}} to the talk page of articles without the project banner. It can also add the workgroup paramaters like "|karnataka=yes|karnataka-importance=" etc ,if needed. The currently supported workgroups are Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Bengal, Goa, Himachal Pradesh , Karnataka , Punjab,cities, Cinema, Literature, Protected Areas of India, History, Politics states, Geography,Maps,Districts and Tamil.

If you need so, you need to provide me with the Categories to run the Bot. Due to some technical issues, the Bot will not run recursively to sub-categories. The requester should kindly verify that there are NO non-related articles in the category.

Need Separate Article for Bharatanatya

It is understood that this group is maintaining Bharatanatyam article which Bharatanatya article ##REDIRECTs to. The current article on 'Bharatanatyam' is written specific to a state and is not aligned with facts on South Indian Classical Dance, 'Bharatanatya'. It is embedded with many weasel references and statements contradict the evidence based facts. Looking at the current format in detail it is not feasible to modify the 'Bharatanatyam' article due to many embedded information specific to a state. Also current photos are repetitive and do not show 'Bhava', an important aspect of 'Bharatanataya'. Therefore a new article on 'Bharatanatya' is needed in the interest of Wikipedia readers. To make optimum use of editors valuable time I suggest a separate article 'Bharatanatya' based on authentic evidences. ThanksNaadapriya (talk) 17:12, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Need advice on use of New Photo for KanakaDaasa

Hope the articles on Purandara and Kanaka are better now after my edits. I have a better photo of Kanaka Daasa purchased in Avenue road shop. Can I scan and add to article. Is there any copyright issue? Photo does not say any such thing. I will get back to those articles soon. Currently a task I took to fix POV and speculative info in Hogenakkal falls article is demanding lot more time than what I had expected. I will follow up on Daasa articles soon. Changes to the WP:1.0 assessment scheme

As you may have heard, we at the Wikipedia 1.0 Editorial Team recently made some changes to the assessment scale, including the addition of a new level. The new description is available at WP:ASSESS.

• The new C-Class represents articles that are beyond the basic Start-Class, but which need additional references or cleanup to meet the standards for B-Class.
• The criteria for B-Class have been tightened up with the addition of a rubric, and are now more in line with the stricter standards already used at some projects.
• A-Class article reviews will now need more than one person, as described here.

Each WikiProject should already have a new C-Class category at Category:C-Class_articles. If your project elects not to use the new level, you can simply delete your WikiProject's C-Class category and clarify any amendments on your project's assessment/discussion pages. The bot is already finding and listing C-Class articles.

Please leave a message with us if you have any queries regarding the introduction of the revised scheme. AKKA article

I realized only today that there was no article that talks about the organization AKKA, Association of Kannada Kootas of America. I have created a stub. While this is specific to North America, I thought it still came under the Karnataka heading and hence I am posting here with request to improve the article. Image needs replacement - Sadhashivnagar

Hello all...

An image used in the article, specifically Image:Image028.JPEG, has a little bit of a licensing issue. The image was uploaded back when the rules around image uploading were less restrictive. It is presumed that the uploader was willing to license the picture under the GFDL license but was not clear in that regard. As such, the image, while not at risk of deletion, is likely not clearly licensed to allow for free use in any future use of this article. If anyone has an image that can replace this, or can go take one and upload it, it would be best.

The discussion at WP:WSS was for templates, only allowing categories when there are 60 stubs (as is standard stub-sorting practice). Quite a few of these categories are undersized, and it is likely they will be upmerged at some point. Grutness...wha? 23:58, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
