Rudolph "Butch" T. Bilal Ware III is an American educator. A historian of West Africa at the University of California, Santa Barbara, he first began teaching at Northwestern University, and later at the University of Michigan.[1][2] He received his Ph.D. in history in 2004 from the University of Pennsylvania.[3] He is the vice presidential nominee of the Green Party in the 2024 United States presidential election.[4]
