GOSU Online Corporation (Vietnamese: Công ty Cổ phần Trực tuyến GOSU, 'GOSU JSC'), founded in 2012, is a Vietnamese game publisher. The company has expanded its influence across ten countries across Asia, including Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Taiwan, and more.[1] GOSUVERSE has over 30 game intellectual properties (IPs) and serves approximately 45 million players.[2]

The name "Gosu" (Korean: 고수) is a Korean term that denotes a highly skilled individual, reflecting the company's mission of "By Gamers, For Gamers."

Timeline

GOSU was established on September 18th, 2012 with the head office in Hanoi, Vietnam.

2012: GOSU Online Joint Stock Company was officially founded, focusing on game publishing and development.

2013: Launched the swordplay game Aojian (Vietnamese: Ngạo Kiếm Vô Song) by Ixinyou, which is adapted from Jin Yong's martial arts novel.

2014:

The 9Yin project (Age of Wushu) from Snail, one of the first 3D online game enterprises in China that gained subsequent successes, was launched. This was the first 3D game in Vietnam and received multiple accolades.

In this year, GOSU established a branch office in Hue.

2015: Opened a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City.

2016: The mobile MMORPG game "Tình Võ Lâm" was launched in March.

2017: Relaunched the game Aojian (Vietnamese: Ngạo Kiếm Vô Song) with the new version - Ngạo Kiếm Vô Song II. This version features ancient and attractive 2D graphics, rich gameplay mechanics, large-scale guild battle content, and multiple ways to develop characters.[3]

2019:

Launched the 3D ARPG mobile game Dynasty Legend (Vietnamese: Đỉnh Phong Tam Quốc).

Developed martial arts MMORPG named 9D (Vietnamese: Cửu Dương Truyền Kỳ) inspired by Jin Yong's novel with Unity 3D graphics.

2020: Released the Cambodia version of 9D, titled SK Legend - SongKream Neaklahan.

2021:

Launched the mobile version of 9Yin called 9Yin 3D.

The 9D – NFT version was launched with the integration of NFT using two types of tokens for activity achievement: COD (Crystal of Dragon) or token COGI, this is the first game in the COGIVERSE ecosystem project.

2022:

Published GaliXCity, an RTS Online game project that combines the advantages of Blockchain and NFT - with a Cyberpunk theme.

Published Soul Realm - A Fantasy MMORPG with Diverse Characters and Interactive Features.

GOSU was the organizing representative of the Vietnam Game Development Alliance launching event, entrusted by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information[4]. This event marked a significant milestone in the evolution of the Vietnamese Gaming Industry – from Vietnam to the World.[5]

In the field of Blockchain, GOSU announced the launch of COGI Chain and NEMO Platform, a Blockchain technology platform for the online service ecosystem in November 2022.[6]

2023:

While attended Vietnam Gameverse 2023, GOSU launched Cuu Duong Truyen Ky 2 and Dinh Phong 2, upgraded versions from Cuu Duong Truyen Ky and Dinh Phong Tam Quoc.[7] The game Cuu Duong Truyen Ky 2 integrated new technology features such as AI, Blockchain... into the product.[8]

GOSU officially entered the e-Commerce market by joining VECOM - Vietnam E-commerce Association.

GOSU Online Corporation also officially became a member of the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) in December 2023.[9][10]

2024:

GOSUVERSE released Silkroad Origin Mobile[11] (or simply Silkroad Mobile) for the Southeast Asia market. This is the mobile version of Silkroad Online, the famous 2004 origin PC game, produced by the Vietnamese game studio, with global copyright of partner Wemade Max.[12]

GOSUVERSE and MEMETOON officially signed a cooperation agreement and looked forward to exploring webtoon-to-game adaption opportunities in Vietnam.[13]

GOSU rebranded as GOSUVERSE, as their next strategic step to go global.

GOSUVERSE and Xsolla signed an MOU, becoming a strategic partner to access international markets.[14][15]
