Hallo, Thank you for creating Hey You (2022 film). When you create an article like this with a "disambiguated" title, please make sure that the reader can find it from the basic name (ie Hey You), by adding or expanding a hatnote, or adding the article to a disambiguation page. This helps the reader to find the new article, and also reduces the chance of a future careless editor creating a duplicate article with a slightly different disambiguator. I've fixed this one. Thanks, and Happy Editing. PamD 19:14, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Names of AAS fellows

edit

Hi, thanks veyr much for creating articles for important AAS fellows. I have noticed that you are using the naming as in AAS website which starts with Surname. I have now changed the name of these articles to thier name following conventional naming

Toure Moctar is now Moctar Toure, see this and his google scholar account.

‪Andriambololona‬ Raoelina is now ‪Raoelina Andriambololona‬, see his google scholar account.

Youdeowei Anthony is now Anthony Youdeowei, see his and this. FuzzyMagma (talk) 22:53, 18 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much. I will stick to the conventional naming. Ibjaja055 (talk) 00:57, 19 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mohamed Thameur Chaibi moved to draftspace and others

edit

Hi, I have moved couple of articles to the draft space before it gets deleted + they are not yet suitable as written to remain published. I would recommend adding more to the articles which can be easily found online. These articles can also use some proofreading before being published. I understand your ambition but I really think these scientists deserve better coverage/article and it is better to spend time on making an article good in the draft space before rushing to the mainspace. I will come back to help improving these articles before re-publish them.

list of the articles that I have moved:

  •    Mohamed Thameur Chaibi (copy edited the text, kept well referenced informations, add more about his research and education, and fix the infobox you should use scientist infobox and not academic infobox as you need to describe the field + you like to use the word member when these are fellows)
  •    Driss Bensari (similar to Mohamed Thameur Chaibi. one useful trick, go for source edit, copy everything to a word document and then run Grammarly or word review for basic copy editing.)
  •    Ramjugernath Deresh (added more references, when you start and article as a DRAFT, wikipedia suggests sources. that is why I suggested you should start with a draft before jumping to main space. I see you did not do that for your recent two articles although I, and many other editors, recommended doing that. Please consider taking this advise. AAS is a good source but you sometime miss different aspect of the person work when your story is narrated/derived from one source)
  •    Mohamed T. El-Ashry (+ added a section called see also, it will give a chance to link articles together so they will not be orphan, I will also look to these scientists' organisation to link them)
  •    Aster Gebrekirstos, minor edits mostly in line referencing and copy editing.
  •    Yehia Bahei El-Din (mainly copy editing + citation, I removed the mention of NASA award as I did not find any NASA related website that confrims this beyond what is written on AAS website)
  •    Ashraf Mansour (expaned the article but one questions that bugs me is why did you make this article to start with)
  •    Gombe Samson (his name is the other way around, the date of birth was wrong and referenced to a site that does mentioned anything about his death, you tend to group reference which once checked one by one you will find only one actually give a reliable reference, It will be better if you can stick to referencing each information separately if you can, so it can be easily corrected)
  •    Farida Fassi Added more references and more sections (+ fixed broken references, added a note, change the infox to scientist include the field, copy editing to use her last and remove mention of professor, for full details see here)
  •  Djeffal Fayçal
  • Bunmi Adelugba
  • Cyrill Nunn (wrong infox is being used, need alot of copy editing + a free picture can be found + the references does not include many that go into depth about his education, work and personal life)

PS: as I am not familiar with politics, so I restricted myself to science as I know well that these scientist biographies can be assembled from reliable sources online. These are champions of science in their countries and Africa, at least they deserve a good WP. Yours FuzzyMagma (talk) 09:23, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I hope you will not forget them in the draft. I will also try to improve them. Bunmi Adelugba is not an academic, she is a politician and a public office holder. The article should be stubbed rather than moved to draft Ibjaja055 (talk) 11:07, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Also, most of the articles drafted have been reviewed by four or five different reviewers. Drafting them will only give two of us the chance to incubate them but stubbing them can give many editors the chance to add more to the articles. Ibjaja055 (talk) 11:12, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Ibjaja055 we are on this together brother. And I might disagree with you 2nd assumption especially because that why we are building these articles because no one ever thought about doing that .. but time will prove one of us wrong .. FuzzyMagma (talk) 11:26, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
FuzzyMagmaYes brother! Most of these scientists have been forgotten and I hope that more hands like us will assist. So what is the conclusion now? Allowing them to be stubbed or leave them in draft. Seriously, even some of the administrator that I feared most have reviewed the articles. Ibjaja055 (talk) 11:36, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Ibjaja055 give me a week on the draft space and then let’s submit them for review (not moving them directly back), just to get a 2nd opinion on how to improve them FuzzyMagma (talk) 11:45, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

What I do most of the times is to create the draft in my phone notebook before creating the article. Ibjaja055 (talk) 11:35, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks brother, it’s a learning process to be honest. And I really admire your passion. To start with a draft article, you can make a to do list in your talk and then use [[ followed by Draft:TheTopic and then close the prac, e.g.,Draft:Sudanese National Academy of Sciences FuzzyMagma (talk) 12:19, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

@FuzzyMagma Ibjaja055 (talk) 20:37, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Looks good .. will benefit from copy editing which I will do tomorrow in grammaly + creating an info box. But content wise this have more ‘meat’. Btw I looked to the articles that you have created - which is alot! - but 1/3 of them is un-assessed, sup and start. You have 1 C article. I’d recommend trying to at least upgrade 50% to start and 25% to C.
last thing, I saw the delete notification on your pictures which something I expected, I would recommend chatting with person who flagged them to see what you can learn from that mistake. There is the option of non-free image upload but that also applies to specific situations/images
all and all .. love your dedication bro .. FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:49, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I went through Draft:Aster Gebrekirstos, It is really good work. I have done some inline citation (for FAAS and FTWAS). My inclination is to cite whenever the information can be sourced to a one reliable reference, and group references when the sources are not very reliable but more than one is saying the same information. But overall, you are making strides my friend. Amazing work FuzzyMagma (talk) 10:00, 28 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
I will stick to that, thank you. @FuzzyMagma Ibjaja055 (talk) 16:49, 28 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Ibjaja055 can you please have a go at fixing Ashraf Mansour's article. A quick warning, there is alot of information about him in the internet and everyone will appreciate if his package act as a summary of all of the reliable information about him available online. Good luck. I will come and review it once you are done and add more from the Arabic sources. He is a well known name and done alot scientifically and politically so make sure that is reflected in his WP. FuzzyMagma (talk) 13:19, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I am trying to but most of the references am seeing are linking him with GUC. I barely see good reference that talks about him. Ibjaja055 (talk) 15:36, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

New page reviewer granted

edit

Hi Ibjaja055. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page, including checking for copyright violations using Earwig's copyright violation detector, checking for duplicate articles, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a Google search) for compliance with the general notability guideline.
  • Please review some of our flowcharts (1, 2) to help ensure you don't forget any steps.
  • Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. – Joe (talk) 13:51, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion contested: Happy Palace Group of Schools

Hello Ibjaja055. Thank you. BangJan1999 22:32, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your observation. The article has been deleted three times check [1]. Also, Wikiwriterforal has submitted it to AFC up to four times and it has been rejected for NPOV. Lastly, not only that the article failed WP: GNG it also has a very low reliable media coverage. Speedy deletion might have gone too far, thank you for giving us the chance to discuss before any action @ BangJan1999 Ibjaja055 (talk) 16:42, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

New pages patrol newsletter

edit

Hello Ibjaja055,

New Page Review article queue, March to September 2023

Backlog update: At the time of this message, there are 11,300 articles and 15,600 redirects awaiting review. This is the highest backlog in a long time. Please help out by doing additional reviews!

October backlog elimination drive: A one-month backlog drive for October will start in one week! Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled. Articles will earn 4x as many points compared to redirects. You can sign up here.

PageTriage code upgrades: Upgrades to the PageTriage code, initiated by the NPP open letter in 2022 and actioned by the WMF Moderator Tools Team in 2023, are ongoing. More information can be found here. As part of this work, the Special:NewPagesFeed now has a new version in beta! The update leaves the NewPagesFeed appearance and function mostly identical to the old one, but updates the underlying code, making it easier to maintain and helping make sure the extension is not decommissioned due to maintenance issues in the future. You can try out the new Special:NewPagesFeed here - it will replace the current version soon.

Notability tip: Professors can meet WP:PROF #1 by having their academic papers be widely cited by their peers. When reviewing professor articles, it is a good idea to find their Google Scholar or Scopus profile and take a look at their h-index and number of citations. As a very rough rule of thumb, for most fields, articles on people with a h-index of twenty or more, a first-authored paper with more than a thousand citations, or multiple papers each with more than a hundred citations are likely to be kept at AfD.

Reviewing tip: If you would like like a second opinion on your reviews or simply want another new page reviewer by your side when patrolling, we recommend pair reviewing! This is where two reviewers use Discord voice chat and screen sharing to communicate with each other while reviewing the same article simultaneously. This is a great way to learn and transfer knowledge.

@Reading Beans Am good o. I just dey gentle o. Yes, I have had some issues with them but the consensus is that the fellows are notable. The fellows are elected based on the contributions of scientists in Africa. It is also part of the Notability guideline of WP: Academic but it shouldn't be the only source, there should be other sources too that can confirm his/her scholarly contributions. Ibjaja055 (talk) 21:02, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but, how can someone be elected a fellow without having sources that can help them establish Wikipedia notability? *Wink* Reading Beans (talk) 21:07, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Reading BeansAt times, it can happen. What I discovered over the time of creating articles around them is that they preferred featuring in peer reviewing journals rather than news coverages. smiles.. My conclusion on that is that maybe because journals further elevates their status in the realm of academics. Ibjaja055 (talk) 21:17, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Realms of Ruin

edit

Hello Ibjaja055,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Realms of Ruin for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Realms of Ruin to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Notability of Your Favourite London Sounds

edit

Hello. May I ask why you added the notability tag to Your Favourite London Sounds? I accept the subject is quite niche but I believe it passes the notability criteria of WikiProject Albums. It uses fifteen secondary sources; most are direct coverage of the release, including reviews and analysis from The Guardian, Los Angeles Times and NPR. There is also material from The Chicago Tribune and The Wire. I believe the article demonstrates notable coverage. --TangoTizerWolfstone (talk) 23:29, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@TangoTizerWolfstone Thank you for the clarification. However, majority of the references are not accessible either they are subscription based or google books. You have two The Guardian sources and one can be considered as a reference because the other was not talking about the subject. I think we should give a chance for another reviewer to review it. Thank you Ibjaja055 (talk) 20:56, 25 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for getting back to me. I feel, per WP:PAYWALL, that the newspaper.com sources are fine. Ditto the Google books. I may take this to WikiProject Albums for further opinion. Thank you. TangoTizerWolfstone (talk) 04:18, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
@TangoTizerWolfstone You are highly welcome. Ibjaja055 (talk) 06:15, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Adding template

edit

Hello Ibjaja055, just want to let you know that when adding templates, there's no need of adding the Template: prefix if you're using the curly brackets ({{}}), for example, just do {{WAP}} and NOT {{Template:WAP}}. Many thanks :) Vanderwaalforces (talk) 12:23, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have fixed Talk:Olugbemiro Jegede, Talk:Sunday Iyahen‎ and Talk:Peter Okebukola. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 12:26, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Vanderwaalforces Thank you very much for the correction. I am still trying to find my ways around templates. It took me several hours to be able to even create one. LOL. Thank you once again Ibjaja055 (talk) 12:30, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Ibjaja055 Hehe, please tell me how I can help, are you trying to add that template to all the articles created at WikiProject AfroDemics?
Also, I have few observations, instead of adding the Wiki Afrodemics Project Articles to the main articles as you did here, we could just add the category inside this Template:WAP so that whenever the template {{WAP}} is added to the talk page of any of the articles, the category is automatically populated with the talk pages of the articles, instead of the main pages. What do you think? Because it doesn't appear to make sense to add the main pages unless you want to make the category a hidden one.
Can you do that? I could help if you want. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 12:38, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Vanderwaalforces That's a little bit technical for me. I would really appreciate if you can help me and teach me later. Thank you very nuch Ibjaja055 (talk) 12:42, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Vanderwaalforces Yes, I am trying to add the templates to all the articles. Ibjaja055 (talk) 12:43, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Ibjaja055 Okay, please hold on and do not add the category to articles for now so that you don't have to undo many edits. I will make some edits to the template and the category will be populated by the article's talk pages it was added to. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 12:48, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Ibjaja055 I guess I didn't spoil things. You can now go ahead and add the template to the talk pages and don't bother to add the category to the articles directly. I will also assist in adding the category to the articles. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 12:54, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@VanderwaalforcesThank you very much. The magic is working perfectly. Ibjaja055 (talk) 13:00, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

WikiCup 2024 February newsletter

edit

The 2024 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with 135 participants. This is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2017.

Our current leader is newcomer   Generalissima (submissions), who has one FA on John Littlejohn (preacher) and 10 GAs and 12 DYKs mostly on New Zealand coinage and Inuit figures. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:

As a reminder, competitors may submit work for the first round until 23:59 (UTC) on 27 February, and the second round starts 1 March. Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round; currently, competitors need at least 15 points to progress. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. edit

The first round of the 2024 WikiCup ended at 23:59 (UTC) on 27 February. Everyone with at least 30 points moved on to Round 2, the highest number of points required to advance to the second round since 2014. Due to a six-way tie for the 64th-place spot, 67 contestants have qualified for Round 2.

The following scorers in Round 1 all scored more than 300 points:

In this newsletter, the judges would like to pay a special tribute to   Vami_IV (submissions), who unfortunately passed away this February. At the time of his death, he was the second-highest-scoring competitor. Outside the WikiCup, he had eight other featured articles, five A-class articles, eight other good articles, and two Four Awards. Vami also wrote an essay on completionism, a philosophy in which he deeply believed. If you can, please join us in honoring his memory by improving one of the articles on his to-do list.

Remember that any content promoted after 27 February but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024

edit

Hello Ibjaja055,

New Page Review queue January to March 2024

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.

Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.

Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.

It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!

2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.

Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.

Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

Was it any particular source that you took issue with in terms of credibility ...maybe the playboy articles? I almost didn't include them but they were actually very insightful and well written so I figured who am I to judge? I have found two more from visual art centric magazines so I dont need to include them anyway. Also before I do the edit I wanted to check in about the notability issue that you raised in your comment to the other editors notes. I was under the impression that seven sources would be more than enough to pass notability requirements. Please explain or provide additional details regarding how i can address that objection. the guy is a famous painter. i didnt even include all of the online articles that could be referenced as most say the same things. Thanks again for all of your help :) I very much appreciate your assistance. MorriconeEnnio (talk) 09:05, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Jonathan Clement Abalos

edit

Thank you for taking the time to review my draft, but I don't see any reason to reject it, and the person does not fail WP:NPOL. As a reviewer myself (in my main account), I know you probably rejected it for the three-or-so sources, but the subject passes WP:NPOL as a Politicians and judges who have held international, national, or (for countries with federal or similar systems of government) state/province–wide office, or have been members of legislative bodies at those levels. This also applies to people who have been elected to such offices but have not yet assumed them. The subject passes the 'legislative body' rule because of being part of the 19th Congress of the Philippines, therefore becoming a member of a national legislative body surpassing the guidelines. I renominated the nomination. Thanks, Jettward (talk) 01:22, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for reaching out. Can you provide good sources to back up these claims? Ibjaja055 (talk) 03:51, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, @Ibjaja055! I wanted to let you know that I declined your speedy deletion nomination of GrabGEO as the article is coherently written in Russian. Warning users multiple times for the same thing

edit

Hi there, I was just looking at a case of unattributed translation and found that you'd dropped a couple of warnings on the editor's talk page about it - but the messages immediately above yours were also about adding unattributed translations, and the unattributed edit in question was made several years ago. Warning someone like that has no benefits, and might just annoy them, so please do check first. -- asilvering (talk) 22:34, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Asilveringcan you help me with the username. I tried as much as possible to warn editors only once. A couple of warnings might have been from the tools that I am using or maybe an oversight from me. Also, I will also try to check their talk page if they have been warned before. I understand that it can be very annoying when the same warnings are coming in from an old edits. Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi Ibjaja055, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 01:59, 17 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Just Step Sideways thank you very much for this user right. I promise not to abuse it. Ibjaja055 (talk) 18:13, 17 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

The 2024 WikiCup has come to an end, with the final round being a very tight race. Our new champion is   AirshipJungleman29 (submissions), who scored 2,283 points mainly through 3 high-multiplier FAs and 3 GAs on military history topics. By a 1% margin, Airship beat out last year's champion,   BeanieFan11 (submissions), who scored second with 2,264 points, mainly from an impressive 58 GAs about athletes. In third place,   Generalissima (submissions) scored 1,528 points, primarily from two FAs on U.S. Librarians of Congress and 20 GAs about various historical topics. Our other finalists are:   Sammi Brie (submissions) with 879 points,   Hey man im josh (submissions) with 533 points,   BennyOnTheLoose (submissions) with 432 points,   Arconning (submissions) with 244 points, and   AryKun (submissions) with 15 points. Congratulations to our finalists and all who participated!

The final round was very productive, and contestants had 7 FAs, 9 FLs, 94 GAs, 73 FAC reviews, and 79 GAN reviews and peer reviews. Altogether, Wikipedia has benefited greatly from the activities of WikiCup competitors all through the contest. Well done everyone!

All those who reached the final will receive awards and the following special awards will be made, based on high performance in particular areas of content creation. So that the finalists do not have an undue advantage, these prizes are awarded to the competitor who scored the highest in any particular field in a single round, or in the event of a tie, to the overall leader in this field.

Next year's competition will begin on 1 January. You are invited to sign up to participate; the WikiCup is open to all Wikipedians, both novices and experienced editors, and we hope to see you all in the 2025 competition. Until then, it only remains to once again congratulate our worthy winners, and thank all participants for their involvement!

Category:The AfroDemics Project articles

Can you please clean up and organize the The AfroDemics Project? It doesn't follow the standard category structure or documentation that's typical of these kinds of projects. Please take a look at how other wikipedia projects are structured, like Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Science and academia. SMasonGarrison 19:43, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Smasongarrison Thank you very much for your observation. I will reach out to the team and we will work on it as soon as possible. Ibjaja055 (talk) 20:12, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@SmasongarrisonThank you for sharing the link. Could you kindly clarify if you are suggesting we clean up the Category AfroDemics Project articles or if we should restructure the project page to resemble the examples you provided? I want to ensure I fully understand your perspective before reverting it to my team, as I am a bit unclear. Ibjaja055 (talk) 22:00, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm suggesting that you restructure the project page and the template to resemble other WikiProjects. Please review Wikipedia:Categorization#Non-article_and_maintenance_categories, WikiProject FAQ, and Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Guide/WikiProject. For example, look at how Category:Science and academia work group articles is templated and organized, compared to Category:The AfroDemics Project articles, as well as how your template Template:WAP, isn't documented.
