Live Rope is the upcoming tenth live album by American experimental rock band Swans set to be released in November 2024 on Young God Records. It will be released on CD, Vinyl, and a USB Credit Card.[1]
Background
editThe album is a fundraiser for their upcoming 17th studio album.[1] The USB was contained in special deluxe editions of the Vinyl and CD. The special editions of the CD was limited to 300 units and the Vinyl was limited to 1000 units.
The album contains live recordings of songs from the band's previous two albums, Leaving Meaning and The Beggar, with recordings from the 2023 and 2024 tours. The album also debuts three previously unreleased songs, "Rope" (together with the Beggar as one piece), "Away", and "Birthing". Every version contains the full recording of the concert from Williamsburg, New York on May 18th 2024. The CD and Vinyl contains songs from the The Hague, Netherlands show on November 19th 2023. The USB contains the full recordings of both.[1]
