editThe substance is toxic if swallowed or inhaled, and corrosive if it comes into contact with the skin.[2]
When burning, hydrogen fluoride, nitrogen oxides and antimony oxides can be formed. It reacts violently with oxidizing agents, water, bases and strong acids, metals and glass. In water it forms hydrofluoric acid.
