edit- ==I added back "tradition of the Talmud, to meet oneself means to meet God." with fact tag==
Dialogue from the movie plus one +1 (film):
- "Maybe we don't have less to worry about then we think"
- "What do you mean"
- "If the universe is really infinite - it means mathematically there must be replicas of our solar system, out there"
- "You've gotta be kidding me."
- "Look just because they exist [doubles of ourselves] doesn't mean they are out to get us"
- "She's right..."
- "Yeah, and how do you figure?"
- "From the book of Talmud, to meet ones self is to meet God."
I did a Google search:
- Talmud, to meet ones self is to meet God
...and found a reference to an old August 2011 quote from an old version of this Wikipedia article:
- " In some myths, the doppelgänger is a version of the Ankou, a personification of death; in a tradition of the Talmud, to meet oneself means to meet God."
I added back "tradition of the Talmud, to meet oneself means to meet God." with fact tag to the Doppelgänger article.
Can anyone help me reference this reference in the Talmud which can be added to +1 (film) and Doppelgänger? Of course, I will look more myself too.
Wikipedia SPOILERS
editWhy does wikipedia keep revealing movie spoilers in the plot section of most movies? I don't get it? Do other movie and normal encyclopedias do this too?--74.57.167.219 (talk) 00:49, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- Wikipedia describes the full plot. As such, it doesn't censor spoilers. How could you describe the ending of a film without spoilers? NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 02:12, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- By leaving something to the fucking imagination. Fucking stupid people "Here, let's just ocmpletely ruin the entire fucking movie for everyone who comes here to find out what it's about." (Personal attack removed)— Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.86.14.225 (talk) 14:35, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- OK, well, maybe you shouldn't read the plot section if you don't want to see spoilers. As WP:SPOILER says, the plot section is already labeled for spoilers by virtue of its heading. This is why we don't use spoiler warnings. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 15:36, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

editMinor Spolier
editMinor Spoiler
At the end of the movie, as a viewer you have seen the disruption that one meteor has caused with most people being antagonistic to their doppelgangers and a very few accepting them
What is show as people leave the party are two more meteors flying across the sky about to land and by implication even more are heading for earth
The beginning of a quiet invasion 146.199.25.224 (talk) 07:28, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
Music
editOn reflection it was a pity that at the end of the movie they did not use the song by Lou Reed 'Perfect Day'
As it contains the lyrics: "I thought I was someone else Someone good"
"You're going to reap just what you sow"
Which tie into the themes of the movie 146.199.25.224 (talk) 07:31, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
