The Power Plant
editWhat's surprising is that there is no article on the plant itself, it being a MAJOR Cuban power plant... 140.211.8.7 (talk) 21:46, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Interestingly, a steam turbine at the failing Guiteras plant was taken 20 years ago from the incomplete joint Soviet-Cuban Juragua Nuclear Power Plant :
- In 2004, the main turbine at the Juragua plant was removed to replace a damaged turbine at Guiteras thermoelectric plant.
- Perhaps Cuba's electric system has "working with what we have" aspects like the yank tanks? Lent (talk) 03:55, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
Blackouts in March & August
editWhile not national, regional blackouts were reported in March and August.

Perhaps a move to 2024 Cuban Blackouts and inclusion of these blackouts would be a good idea?
I notice that the Spanish language article uses the plural title and has a start date of February. Narnat. 01:34, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
- I would support a move to 2024 Cuba blackouts ("B" should be lowercase, and "Cuba" should be used instead of "Cuban" for consistency with titles of articles about similar blackouts). –Gluonz talk contribs 15:41, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
