edit""Alwar" was formerly known as "Ulwar". This placed it in last position in alphabetically ordered lists, so a king renamed it to "Alwar" to bring it to the top."
---> How is this possible, given that the name would have been originally written in Hindi or a related script, in which vowels all come at the beginning, and thus "Ulwar" would have come near the top of any list. What is the evidence for this claim? -CPL —Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.71.109.146 (talk) 08:48, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

I have changed 'A few years later, he ventured an armed incursion into neighbouring Jaipur, a another vassal of the British, and was defeated;'
To
A few years later, he ventured an armed incursion into neighbouring Jaipur, a senior Kachwaha state, and was defeated;
The Reason being, during the time of Bakhtawar Singh (died 1815) Jaipur had yet to sign a treaty with the British, as the initial treaty between Jaipur and the British of 1803 was abolished shortly afterwards and it was not until 1818 that a treaty was made between Jaipur state and the British. Perhaps some one may have verified account of this matter? Otherwise I'll come back to it, once I have time.
