editWould have been 15 years old when this movie came out, so I really doubt that Bruce Kwakimoto was based on the former wrestler in any way.

Animalympics Album Project
editRemoved the line: "However, a fan of the movie has started the Animalympics Album Project (see link below), an attempt to remaster and re-release it on compact disc."
The external link is justified, but this phrase does not make any sense. When A&M (or its global, corporate master, or Graham Gouldman) decide to rerelease this soundtrack, then it will be done, and have nothing to do with the efforts of this fansite. Besides, it does not appear that this external site has been maintained in some time.

Can we use this link? Animalympics The C/FO Cut (The separate Winter/Summer Games TV specials version) on Internet Archive Espngeek (talk) 23:23, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
- The link isn't working properly for me, so I'm afraid I can't comment one way or another. Cheers. DonIago (talk) 19:40, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

Characters based on real life people
editWe know Wobblers and Turkell being Wawa and Howard Cosell, but you might considered these:
- Tatyana Tushenko - Nadia Comăneci
- Joey Gongolong - Muhammad Ali
- Keen Hacksaw - Keith Jackson
- Burnt Woody - Curt Gowdy
- Bolt Jenkins - John Travolta
- One of the North American basketball players a play on Kareem-Abdul Jabbar
- Dorrie Turnell - Dorothy Hamill
- Mayor of Animalympic Island - obviously Nixon ("let the bird fly")
- Henry Hummel - Henry Kissenger
- Mark Spritz - obviously Mark Spitz
- Mele - obviously Pele
How that's for 70s pop culture and sports knowledge?
