Characters re-appearing

edit

Is there any reason we are adding that some characters re-appear from the older films? There is no source emphasizing the importance of this and they are all added as hat notes. Per MOS:REALWORLD, "particularly for film and TV-related topics, this may include cinematographical aspects". These are all plainly trivial mentions that, yes, this character was in another film. No source. Per WP:SIGCOV, there is no real source going into detail of what characters are returning and any comparisons between the two are trivial at best. Not that this is solid grounding, but this is a lot of hat notes as well (WP:HATCHEAP), who would want to click between one and the other back and forth for about four characters? @Andrzejbanas: I believe the format was originally used while the movie was still "secretly" a prequel to Rosemary's Baby. The sources are in the article, and was used so that there's not a long explanation next to each character in the list. Something like this could be listed in prose however, in a the production/development/cast sections though.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 14:53, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I mean maybe, we kind of require context for this stuff for writing about in-universe things. Per MOS:INUNIVERSE, this requires "real-world context and sourced analysis.", which is the main thing that's missing. Even if we did have that, MOS:FILMPLOT says we shouldn't apply "overview of the main events, so avoid minutiae like dialogue, scene-by-scene breakdowns, individual jokes, and technical detail."
