Simplify infobox

edit

I'm of the opinion that we should simplify the infobox. I'm not sure, for instance that one is even warranted for this tangential article. However, the box office stuff should be cut until the film stabilizes. We don't need this page being updated three times a day with content that is found at the main article (which is also in constant box office updates). The infobox is supposed to summarize content found elsewhere in the article, and since a Box Office section would not be relevant in this article, box office content likely doesn't belong here. Thoughts? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:17, 17 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea whether this article will remain restricted to only the production details, or will become something like Kill Bill (a single movie split into two parts). If it becomes the latter, the box office information for both parts may be added. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:31, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Firstly, this is an article related to the film's production and it is not advisable to mention the film's returns on investment here. It has been developed by taking inspiration from Production of Ben-Hur (1959 film). After the body of the article is completely developed, we can mention all the relevant technician details, production studio(s) [meant for dubbed versions] and the film's cast of course in the lead section as per WP:LEAD. So i am in the opinion that the infobox be removed straightaway after developing the article completely. The page Baahubali (currently a redirect) can be modified to something on the lines of Kill Bill where you can mention the BO performance of both the parts. Even Gangster (film series) serves as an inspiration in this matter. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 08:39, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Repetitious "Telugu"

edit

As part of what I'm assuming is more Telugu promotion, there has been a flare-up of unnecessary mentions of "Telugu", for instances in these edits and these edits and this edit. We don't need to mention that Prabhas is a Telugu actor every time we invoke his name. That's just absurd. In this edit I removed the mention and the repetitious links, because it's mentioned that he's a Telugu actor in the section right above. It's just sloppy writing and in consideration of all the "We want Telugu!" editing going around here, only comes off as promotional. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:02, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I am unable to understand their problem. They say, Baahubali is a Telugu film. The makers say Baahubali is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual dubbed into Hindi and Malayalam. Whatever the reason may be, the film is declared a bilingual by them. But i do not know exactly why these guys want to project it as Telugu. Sometimes, i wished this article never existed first of all. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 01:19, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Ah, the target seems to have shifted from List of highest-grossing Indian films to here! Vensatry (ping) 13:38, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

edit

Baahubali: Music from the Motion Picture should be merged into this article – there is almost no description of the music itself in the cited sources, and it doesn't warrant a separate article. Richard3120 (talk) 18:34, 5 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
