  • Can I just clarify, the lead role based on a legendary "man" but was played by a woman?
Technically that's a boy, like Peter Pan has been played by many women.
  • "it stars S. V. Ranga Rao and Anjali Devi. Roja Ramani, in her film debut, plays the title character." surprising to think that the person playing the lead (and titular role) isn't listed as one of the stars?
Due to lack of starpower, it's possible this is the reason why she isn't billed first. Since she is given such a low billing in the credits, what do I do in the lead? --Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
No change required, it was a simple question with a reasonable answer. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 10:13, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • " a hundred-day run. " a little unclear what this means.
It means a 100-day theatrical run. I guess worldwide it means the point where a film is deemed profitable. --Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Where is running time referenced?
The Prime Video version is 2 hours and 50 minutes long. Should I use it as a source? --Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
If you haven't got a better source, yes. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 10:13, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Done exactly that. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:49, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • "them and deny them entry. They curse the pair, saying that they" hard to follow who "them" "them" "they" and "they" are in this context for non-experts.
  • " and choose the second option" chooses? Copyedit the Plot section.
Here's what happened: The Four Kumaras curse Jaya and Vijaya, saying that they would have to give up divinity, be born and live as mortal beings on Earth. Vishnu fails to remove the Kumaras' curse, and offers two solutions: be Vishnu's devotees in seven human lives, or his enemies in three demonic lives. Jaya and Vijaya cannot bear separation from Vishnu for so long, so they choose the second option. Now see what I've written. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
I've fixed this. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 10:13, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • "to the sage Kashyapa and Diti at " confusing wording. Who or what is Diti?
Please read this and tell me to write. Though I'd simply say she's a goddess. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
I fixed this. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 10:13, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • "by day or night and by human or beast" is this a quote? It's not particularly encyclopedic tone.
No, it's not a quote. Please read this to know what happened. But ultimately you know why a half-man half-beast killed Hiranyakashipu. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well, "invulnerable to death" means he can't be killed by anything at any time. It doesn't need to be repeated in such an archaic/poetic fashion. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 10:13, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
How about this? He becomes invulnerable to death by various factors, including man and beast. But I hope this is not confusing. IMO, he was killed by something that was neither man nor beast because of a loophole in his immortality boon. --Kailash29792 (talk) 10:49, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Aha, I see it now. So the "day or night" is definitely not required, but you could perhaps say "he could not be killed by men or animals". The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 18:41, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Cast section, could add a couple of images to make better use of the huge whitespace to the right of the listing.
I'm not sure there are any free images. Is using {{div col}} a good option? --Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
There aren't contemporary images, but images of some of the actors/actresses are available. But if you don't like them (as they are taken perhaps 40/50 years after this film!) then div col is probably the best solution. • "a Mitchell Camera" that's a company name, not a camera.
  Done written as "a Mitchell camera". --Kailash29792 (talk) 09:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • " praised its performances of the cast " -> " praised the performances of its cast "
  Done exactly as suggested. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:50, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think the Plot could use a good copyedit, but the rest of the article is in a very good condition. On hold while we work through. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 08:42, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Rambling Man, can you please see if your comments have been solved? Kailash29792 (talk) 06:40, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes, of course, but only when I get a suitable moment to do so. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 16:24, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Some further comments inline above. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 10:13, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay, it's just about there. I still think the Plot section could use a review from someone who knows the subject matter and is a good English copyeditor, but it's fit for purpose at GA-level just about. So I'll promote. Cheers.
