Plot summary ending

edit

"[..] his own kingdom... but that is another story...." - sounds like speculation, unencyclopedic? (clem 18:33, 2 May 2005 (UTC))Reply

Agreed. I've shortened it up, but it still ends a little awkwardly and could use a rewrite. Turnstep 18:01, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
Hm, it's an exact citation from the film, so I wouldn't call it speculation. I think it might as well be justified to use it in the article. --Arny 15:10, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Who wrote this? Arnold, pre-English lessons? Hoptsur42 05:01, 14 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

This page screams for a rewrite. Soyweiser 21:11, 1 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Plot Summary

edit

Right, i've gone through it and sorted out most of the odd english. There are still a few eccentricities and a bit of homoerotic fun, and a couple of slight guesses about what was meant, but arguably that adds character. I have removed most of the disaster-warning banners, since it's not that bad now. Sandpiper 02:00, 10 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I have reduced the plot summary size as much as I could; someone else may be able to clean it up further. I've also removed the "plot is too long" notice, and deleted a dead image thumbnail.--Jorm 00:38, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Phoenix

edit

Is it really justified to explicitly state the bird is a Phoenix? It is never mentioned in the film, so it seems it's just someone's guess. --Arny 15:08, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Ctdcb.jpg

edit

Image:Ctdcb.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:29, 2 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Texas?

edit

Uh, why is this part of WikiProject Texas?--Jorm 15:31, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Phoenix

edit

What Phoenix is being mentioned here? There was never mention of a phoenix in Conan the Destroyer. "A giant bird, a bird of smoke" was Akiro's answer to the question of who took Jehnna. That's the only bird mentioned.

An older edit of the plot referred to Toth-Amon's bird form as such. It is no longer relevant.--Jorm 15:31, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, just was wondering about that

Box office stats

edit

I can't find any references to its additional $69 million international markets gross. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Midnight Cowboy43 (talkcontribs) 18:42, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cast table

edit

The "cast" section is presented in a non-standard way. Each character is labelled with a specific "class" and a "weapon of choice". How are these things defined/delineated? Seems a bit dungeons-and-dragonsy to me. Fine for a game that has a fixed list of character classes, but not appropriate for a movie. --Thecorinthian85 (talk) 20:55, 27 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree, also Conan is ALSO a thief, not only a barbarian... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.57.65.184 (talk) 23:03, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have re-rendered this as a bulleted list, which is the standard form used in Wikipedia. The sole purpose of the table, apparently, was to display trivia which is already detailed in the plot summary and does not need to be repeated. "<<Actor>> as <<Role>>" is the standard form, not multi-column tables clotted with extended bios. 73.180.196.185 (talk) 00:14, 15 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
