copy violation

edit

I think that the text under "Other work" has been copied from [startrek.com] (or the other way around...) anyway they are the same. Sbwoodside 20:11, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

not the first Dexter victim, first victim was Mike Donovan. the poster may have been confused by the episode title - "the first nurse" it's about the 6th Dexter episode I think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justinzajac (talkcontribs) 00:18, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Parentage?

edit

Isn't it important to note that she is the illegitimate child of Dennis Crosby, who committed suicide in 1989, and that there was a major scandal and paternity battle?

Well, if you have a reliable source, go ahead and be bold!! Dismas|(talk) 15:21, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

A recent interview by Crosby with Gates McFadden says that Bing Crosby initiated the paternity suit against Crosby's mother. She also says that she graduated from North Hollywood High School.

Tasha's death unceremonious?

edit

"Her character was unceremoniously killed by the alien creature Armus during the episode "Skin of Evil." She had appeared in 22 episodes when she left". There is actually a ceremony for Tasha at the end of the episode. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HamSalad (talkcontribs) 03:52, 23 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, her killing was unceremonious. But her funeral may have been an extremely ceremonious ceremony. Hey, why am I bothering to answer this ? Darkman101 (talk) 08:02, 18 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

NPOV

edit

I note that this article whitewashes some aspects of Denise Crosby's career. Reliable sources [1] make a connection between her appearing in Playboy and getting fired from TNG. Presently the article claim that Crosby left because her character was sidelined. The article however does not say why her character was sidelined, which is, as everybody knows, because she can't act. Abductive (reasoning) 19:15, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

"As everybody knows...she can't act"? Gee, that's just so NPOV. Haha. Sorry, but your opinion does not qualify as a reliable source. For the record, it should be "the article claims", not claim. --76.189.111.2 (talk) 04:27, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
So, if I find sources then I can change the article without objections? Good. Abductive (reasoning) 23:18, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
It is ALL about finding sources. We aren't here to push any agendas or "whitewash" any articles, just to make awesome encyclopedic articles. That means backing up any statements with reliable, 3rd party sourcing. I've never run across anything that tied her leaving the show with the playboy shoot, but if you can find it, you can post it. Akuvar (talk) 21:18, 12 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
More or less, yes, unless somebody finds other sources that contradict your sources. So, User:Abductive, did you find any? With TY on front page it would be a good day to improve this article ASAP. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:47, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
The most common explanation given by the sources is that Crosby asked to be written out of the show because she wasn't given enough latitude, character development and lines. Some sources say she "confronted" the writers. Then there are numerous sources that connect her Playboy appearances with her termination. I'm pretty sure you can Google those sources for yourself, if you need help, let me know. Perhaps you have overlooked the source I provided back on 9 March 2013? Finally, I can't find any reliable sources that say she was denied lines and eventually written out of the show for her wooden "acting", although plenty of of unreliable sources say this. Abductive (reasoning) 05:27, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
If you're going to make an argument for something and claim that there are sources for it, provide the sources. Period. You had them on your screen at some point, so just copy/paste the URLs here. It's childish to say "Well, I found sources but I'm not going to tell you where they are. You'll have to get them yourself." Let's be clear and have the sources. That way all of us know that we're comparing the same material. Dismas|(talk) 06:46, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
I am not sure how reliable is [2]. What is it? Reads like somebody's usenet/email/blog comment rant... --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:33, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
I tend to agree. It sounds a bit off the cuff. There have been rumors that she was let go due to the Playboy shoot for years and that sounds too much to me as just a repeat of that rumor. Dismas|(talk) 10:00, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
I've asked for another opinion at the reliable sources notice board. Dismas|(talk) 12:58, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Walking Dead

edit

Denise just appeared in 2 episodes of the Walking Dead,Season 4 Ep 15 and 16. Her name was in the opening credits for Ep 16. Do with this what you will. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.168.232.52 (talk) 11:53, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

What about...

edit

...Miracle Mile? I once read that this was Denise Crosby's first film role after leaving ST:TNG. 71.175.90.196 (talk) 07:19, 20 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's an incomplete profile that doesn't include her published books, half a dozen in number or more. 65.60.234.129 (talk) 02:12, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia doesn't have profiles, it has articles. If you feel something is missing, why not add it? DonIago (talk) 02:58, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
