Movie ending
editI added something to Zora's synopsis, so now, people know how the movie ends. I know in most summaries about movies all over the net, usually, it is never mentioned how the movie ends to keep up some tension and make audiences watch (or, in case of DVD, buy) it, but I'm not sure if this applies here: I may be naive, but I think we should write an complete description about a movie's plot, since, after all, Wikipedia is meant to be a collection of all human knowledge and the entire plot is part of that, too. ;) So, what's with all the cliffhangers in movie summaries? People turn to Wikipedia to learn everything important about a certain subject and the end of a movie is part of that. Comments on that? --Plumcouch 11:31, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
- I suppose I am trying to be kind to the people who would read Wikipedia and then look for the movies. I don't want to ruin it for them, spoiler warning regardless. I figure they should have just enough details to decide if they want to watch the movie.
- However, I could be wrong. I often am. I would agree to letting movie-goers know if the film ends happily or unhappily. Since I'm an incurably frivolous type who usually HATES tragic movies, I'd like to know this.
- Plumcouch, your edit didn't take. You may want to make it again. Zora 19:07, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
Copyediting
editI did some copyediting on the synopsis, which I think reads more smoothly now.
I thought that both Nisha and Ajay behaved nobly and I wanted the movie to end happily for them too. Surely they could have consoled each other? Oh, it was too sad. Zora 04:26, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Unsourced material removed
editI removed the following because it's been in there a long time without source and is essentially speculative. If a source can be found that backs it up and demonstrates it's important enough to add back, that's fine. - Taxman Talk 16:09, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- The film has often been rumored to be (very loosely) inspired by Paul Verhoeven's much-maligned American film Showgirls (1995), which also featured a plot surrounding an injured young ingénue who has to be replaced by another performer. However, it could be argued that this plot has been a staple of plays and films about show business.
Shiamak Davar
editShiamak Davar never won any filmfare award for this movie. Farah Khan won it for Virasat in 1998. The information is not right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.95.22.153 (talk) 18:03, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- He won the National award for this movie. It's mentioned on the official site and also in this article. But not any filmfare awards. Tolly4bolly 18:09, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
