@Ab207, Cyphoidbomb, PK743, and Fylindfotberserk: So I went on the teaser and saw the teaser and in the description it says that the film is a tri-lingual movie being shot in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. I just wanted your input on this as we have had the same discussion before on Talk:Radhe Shyam. The only reason why I brought this up is due to the film not being marketed as a tri-lingual but more as a Telugu film from what I understand but you are welcome to give your inputs. Here is the Youtube link [1]. SP013 (talk) 16:21, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

This case is the same as for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. This film is clearly shot only in Telugu given the cast and crew.TamilMirchi (talk) 16:32, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@TamilMirchi: But look at the teaser link, in the description it clearly says Good Luck Sakhi is made in Three Languages Telugu, Tamil & Malayalam. SP013 (talk) 16:33, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@SP013: Whenever a film is released in several languages, the original languages are all released at the same time. Where are the other language trailers?TamilMirchi (talk) 16:35, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@TamilMirchi: Here are the other teaser links [2], [3]. SP013 (talk) 16:36, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@SP013: The News Minute says "...the film appears to have been shot in Telugu and dubbed in the other languages."[4] PK743 (talk) 16:38, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@SP013: Watched the other language trailers. The film is clearly dubbed. Please remove the other languages. TamilMirchi (talk) 16:39, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict)@SP013: The YouTube channel is not verified. So I wouldn't use it. Perhaps you can find other sources. This News Minute source can serve the purpose I believe. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:42, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Oops! TamilMirchi is correct. TheNewsMinute source seems to point towards Telugu being the language in which teh film was shot. To many edit conflicts man. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:48, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

(edit conflict)@PK743 and TamilMirchi: Now the teaser itself counts as a primary source and the production house has clearly stated that the film is a trilingual but we can not for sure say that it is dubbed or not because it can be the case of Shot in Telugu but dialouge reshoots in Tamil and Malayalam. We also know that this film is not done filming so I would like the other editors that I have mentioned for their views on this situation. SP013 (talk) 16:49, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Fylindfotberserk: I found that TOI stated this The film will be released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Now I don't evidently know if this does mean shot in those two languages [5]. Then the Indian Express stated this The film will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. [6]. Man these Indian articles half the time don't even report the same thing. Also I think the problem here is that the production house is not verified due to the lack of marketing on Youtube and other social media and the lack of even creating a website. SP013 (talk) 16:52, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@SP013: Being released in some languages is not equal to being shot in those languages. The lead should mention something like The film is to be shot in Telugu and simultaneously released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. And in the infobox only mention "Telugu". This is my take on this based on Newsminute and all the other sources posted here. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:03, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Agree with Fylindfotberserk, Unless multiple sources confirm that it's simultaneously "shot", we cannot be sure of anything. SP013, Let's omit to say "shot" and "dub" for now and mention only "release" while maintaining the status quo (ie. Telugu only) at infobox. --Ab207 (talk) 17:33, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@SP013: After reading some more articles i feel film is multi-lingual, The Hindu and DD News generally publishes verified news only.[7][8][9] PK743 (talk) 17:40, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
PK743, Had they mentioned "The film is also shot in", it would have helped us. Ab207 (talk) 17:43, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ab207: The Hans India mentioned "...simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages," and the rest of the articles are unclear. PK743 (talk) 17:49, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
PK743, As the sources are not definitive, we cannot conclude. Mentioning "release" like most sources will not be misleading. In the future, when we get further evidence, we can update it. Ab207 (talk) 17:57, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ab207: Okay lets wait for some more time for the official news. PK743 (talk) 17:59, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

(edit conflict)Ab207 Yea I agree we can get further evidence but the evidence we have now is that there are multiple languages but there is a dispute between the primary source and secondary as the primary states trilingual but majority of them state that it is shot in Telugu. IMO majority of these Indian articles are just pure crap as majority of them don't even have consistency. I say we do what Fylindfotberserk and use that sentence and wait for some CBFC certificate (which is highly unlikely as there are speculations that this film will also be releasing on an OTT platform and the platforms do not need a certficate and then we would have to rely on the OTT platform or production house). SP013 (talk) 18:05, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

PK743 The Hindu and DD sources clearly say that Nagesh Kukunoor took everyone by surprise when he announced that he’s making a Telugu film and also say that the film is going to be released in 3 languages. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:10, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
SP013, using fancy words such as multilingual and pan-India are good for marketing without doing the actual work. Afaik, CBFC certificate is mandatory for TV broadcast, so they might get it, like UMUR. Ab207 (talk) 18:14, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Fylindfotberserk:, the uncertainty is about whether film was shot in multiple languages or not, as some articles mentioned it is made in multiple languages and some articles say its being dubbed so if we wait for some more time we can get official news about it. PK743 (talk) 18:19, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Well, one thing is for sure, the film is being "released" in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. As for whether it is being shot or dubbed, we can wait for sometime then. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:28, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • I have changed the lead per discussion. It omits mention of words such as "shot" and "dubbed" and only say release per most sources. The edit can be reviewed here. I have retained Telugu as the primary language in infobox, as its the only thing which is certain. I have added two sources which are somewhat helpful, Hindu which says "Telugu film...will also release in Tamil and Malayalam" and Newsminute which gave some commentary on the film's language. The arrangement is provisional and may be updated with later and more informative sources. Regards --Ab207 (talk) 20:28, 16 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Release?

Did this get released today (31 Dec)? I'm not seeing any evidence that it actually was released. BOVINEBOY2008 17:34, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Bovineboy2008, it didn't. No promotions or updates. -- Ab207 (talk) 19:20, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
