One might argue a posse would require at least two… a sheriff (or other ‘deputizing’ agent), and at least 1 ‘deputized’ posse member. If only the sheriff was chasing someone, no one would ever say the person was pursued by “a posse”. Jd.varner44 (talk) 14:53, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

I lack the knowledge to fix this myself.
